As the week went on, Jack was bullied and pushed around more. When the alumni came to take their turn with the new subs, Jack and Kyle were both double teamed. It was a bit much to see them fucked in front of us as the others cheered. Jack brought Kyle in on the plan. Mike and I did not have a problem with it. As everyone left the park, Mike and I stayed behind to help them clean up. They were sore and a bit wobbly on their feet, but I saw the fire in their eyes. They were not broken. I took several forms out my bag. "Okay. I got the registration forms for Intrepid University and Heroic College. We'll fill them out and take them to the post office." I handed them out and we registered for the tryouts. When we were done we personally handed them in to the post office. I said "Remember. You can talk about Intrepid all you want, but don't say anything about Heroic. People might try to fuck up one for us, bit they can't interfere with something they don't know about." "We've been over this already! It's our asses on the line here." Kyle snapped at me with a smirk. He was pretty confident.

The way the hero schools determined the new class of students was with the tryouts. Students entering college could register and they would be allowed to compete against each other in battle scenarios and combat trials to screen candidates. Thousands applied every year, but there were only 650 slots. Since all four of us applied for both Intrepid and Heroic they would get first dibs on us should we get in the top 650. Even if we did not, we could always be on the wait list and accepted to a general course if we were in the top 1000. We did not even need to do that well as we were already targeting the third and fourth ranked schools. I was feeling pretty confident about our chances. Our passes for the tryouts came in the mail a week later. The tryouts were going to be on the upcoming weekend. Desmond and Evan also got theirs. Jack told the others that he was still going for the tryouts after they failed to subdue him once again. They heckled him and tried to glare him into submission. I could see that he was struggling, but still fought through it. I was impressed.

On Friday, Desmond came up to me at lunch. "Can I talk to you real quick?" he asked. I nodded and followed him. He took me to the incinerator and I was on edge. I just looked around as we stood around. He held his arm up and said "Chill out, Dustin. I just wanted to talk." I crossed my arms and said "Alright. What did you want to talk about?" He sighed and asked "Why are you and Mike still hanging with Jack and Kyle? They are Subs. You should be hanging out more with us Doms." I said "We are helping them get ready for the tryouts. I told you that we can all make it to Intrepid High. You know Jack is strong enough." Desmond looked annoyed and said "Just drop it. You are not helping them. They can do what they want, but they can't be heroes. How many times do we have to tell you that!?" "There's medicine for helping with urges. Besides, he can come to one of us to have his back if he wants to do some play." I reminded him. Desmond scoffed and said "I get it. You just want to keep them to yourself and collar them." "I'll never collar them and I'll never be collared." I replied.

Desmond leaned closer to me and said "Are you really sure about that? You're still a Switch you know. A Dom might come and force you down. Maybe you could even be mine." I rolled my eyes and started walking away from him. "Stop." he growled at me. A chill ran up my spine and caused me to stop, but only for a second. I shook it off and kept going without a word. "Kneel." Desmond snapped. My legs felt a bit weak, but I kept going. He was simply not strong enough to stop me. I blinked to the room I was eating in by myself. Evan looked at me expectantly when I went through the door, but he then sighed when he did not see Desmond with them. Evan just got up and walked past me on the way out. He did not say anything to me. "He just came here and sat down. He wanted something." Mike said as he stretched his arms out and stood up. "He probably wanted to know if I was going to be on their side or not." I then told them what happened to me and Desmond. "Keep an eye out until we get to the tryouts. Anything can happen." I finished. "Let's hang out at my house." Kyle offered.
