I could see where this was going. "We're friends. Let's not say anything to the others, yeah? We want Jack with us when we go to Intrepid High. We're going to be the #1 team" I said. Desmond just rolled his eyes. "There's no such thing as friends between a Dom and a Sub." He then looked at Jack and said "The hero classes don't take any Subs anyway. Who needs a Sub hero if they'll just be dominated by a villain." "The others are going to fuck him anyway. Besides, he'll like it." Evan added. They started closing in. I turned to Mike and said "I can't do that to a friend. Let's just go." He gave one last look to Jack. Jack glared at him and Mike flinched. "Yeah... I can't do it to him either." Mike said before following me. As we were walking away, Jack used the distraction to blast Desmond and Evan. He got up and ran in our direction with anger in his eyes. We ran from him as well. "Give me a lift!" I said. Mike gave me a nod and grabbed me by the side before taking to the air. When we were able to climb through an open window, he let me go and took a breather. It was a close call.
Mike looked at me and said "You save my ass back there. Literally. Why?" I looked back at him and said "I told you. We're friends. I want you with me at Intrepid High. If we do it right, we can get you in. Just do your best to suppress the Sub urges. I'll help out if it's possible." Mike smirked and said "I just carried your scrawny ass up here to get away from Jack. The least you can do is help." We did a bro hug. "I don't know what to do about Jack though." I said. Mike said "Jack's done. He's already been outed by Evan. They guys are going to fuck with him and even if he passed the test someone would out him to the school." "Jack's our friend!? How the hell can you all abandon him just like that." I snapped at him. It was starting to piss me off. "He'd do the same to me!" Mike snapped back. "You saw how he tried to out me. He wanted to out me too so he wouldn't be the only one being fucked." I let it go. "Let's... get out of here." he said after a minute. I nodded and we left the school grounds together for safety. The weekend was beginning, so we had until Monday before going back to school.
When we got to school, Jack and three others were up against the wall to the incinerator. Desmond commanded them to kneel and they did. Jack and Kyle, one of the others in the group fought against it. They got to one knee before Desmond commanded them to crawl. It took all their will power to keep from following orders like the others. I was pleased that they were fighting. The others looked miserable. It then that Will came out to them and said "Why are you fighting it? You'll feel better if you give in." Jack and Kyle shared a look before they blasted him. Kyle's super sonic whistle and Jack's blasts sent him flying. "Fuck you all! We're not going down for any of you assholes." They got in a brawl with the others and got some hits in before they were overwhelmed. They got beat down and Mike and I just watched from the sidelines. There was not much either of us could do. If we tried to get involved, we would get beat down as well. A teacher calling out was all we needed to scatter from the area. I was pretty sure that I could get Jack on side if I helped him. I blinked over and took him with me.
Blinking behind the teachers, we were able to run around the corner without being seen. "Are you okay, Jack?" I asked him as he put his hands on his knees and panted softly. Jack looked at me and charged a blast in his right hand in a blink of an eye. "Give me a reason I shouldn't blow your head off." he growled. I smiled and crossed my arms. I said "Because the three of us are going to be heroes. If you don't look around and see who is trying to help you, you're going to end up like Sydney." He shuddered and tilted his head at me. "How the fuck are you going to get me in to a hero course?" I said "Everyone wants to go to Intrepid High. We'll go to Heroic High. It has a dorm we could live in and as long as you two can suppress your urges- or come to me when you can't- we can get in and hide under the radar. We're good enough to be heroes." He thought about it and nodded his head. "I'll try it. I got nothing better to do." Heroic High was the fourth ranked school for heroing in the country. We all were more than qualified for it. It was better to have allies you could count on after all.
