ARD Jon, DTH Jon and DTH Karyn appeared on ARD Jon's drive.
"Where did everybody go?" asked ARD Jon.
"Back to their own version of reality." DTH Jon told him.
"But my Karyn went with them."
"No she's upstairs waiting in your bedroom. Technically the Karyn that was with them wasn't your Karyn."
"Huh, what about getting locked in the basement?"
"Never happened. From her point of view she's been in your room all this time."
"So she saw me disappear and is waiting for me to come back?"
"No, she saw you disappear and met us twice."
"Twice?"
"Yes we had to establish your destination, so we travelled back to when you disappeared. She was present at the time, so it was a bit difficult to avoid interacting with her."
DTH Karyn interjected.
"We made her hide under the bed and pretend she hadn't met us."
ARD Jon was completely lost by now.
"Why?" he asked.
"Well...", Karyn thought about it for a few seconds. "Jon can tell you." she said.
"You can?"
DTH Jon answered.
"Well when we arrived she was under the bed, so I was maintaining the timeline." he told ARD Jon.
ARD Jon gave him a blank stare.
"Time travel is weird like that. Anyway she's up there waiting."
"Well thanks for everything I guess. What's going to happen with that messed up dimension?"
"I'm not sure. I'm going to give it some thought. It might take me some time to find a solution, assuming one exists."
ARD Jon nodded turned around and walked up the drive. He opened the door and went back into the house.
"So where now?" DTH Karyn asked
"That's up to you. You're in charge." DTH Jon told her.
"Really? I thought you just said that to calm me down."
"Nope I meant it."
"Oh okay. Well I know I wanted to help other Jons and Karyns but that last little jaunt was pretty intense. Maybe we should just do some general travelling."
"If you want. We've only seen a pretty limited number of timelines. Exploring would give us a better understanding of the multiverse as a whole."
"Do you think there is a plan to it or something?"
"No idea but travelling for a while might help us find out."
"Okay well in that case I don't want any responsibility. Does such a place exist?"
"There were only a handful of versions of us in this timeline, so we kind of had to take responsibility. Logically we need to go somewhere where there are lots of timelines."
"Good plan." DTH Karyn told him
DTH Jon inspected the screen of the DTH while tapping some buttons.
"Okay, if we go back to when I get the stone, there are several major timelines that have a large number of divergences."
"Pick one."
Holding tightly to DTH Karyn's hand, DTH Jon pressed some buttons.
