I told them to wait in the manor and they nodded. I went to the wagons on the edge of town and asked to be taken to the scout base. I added a scout to my party and we went to the combat base and got two combat paladins. I made a party of four to go find out what happened. "Alright. There are rumors going around about Fishbourne I don't like. We are going to find out what happened." They nodded and we went to the cart to be taken to the city. I spent a pretty penny to get there. It was way too quiet as we rolled up. The driver said "There's no way I'm staying here! You four are on your own!" Before anyone could say anything, he was off and we couldn't stop him. That really sucked. I asked if any of them could ride a horse. Luckily, they all could. I sighed in relief. No matter what happened, as long as I had one of them left and a horse was available, I would not be stranded here. For my convenience, I stood closer to the scout as he went first. He was not as competent as I was expecting, but he was only a recruit. We entered the city as there were no guards to stop us. That was a bad sign.

The city was strewn with corpses and dismembered bodies. Dried blood was smeared in the streets in long streaks. The others were horrified by what they saw. I told them all to draw their swords and form an out looking circle. It looked completely deserted. "Anyone still out there!? Paladins from the Church of Seven Roses are here to help the wounded and ill! Don't be afraid! We are here to help." "...Help!" a young voice called out. We didn't see him because there was fog from the area where we hear the voice. We watched as a a figure barreled out the fog towards us. It was a young naga. As he slithered to us, I saw Souris running behind him with his blade drawn. That was a surprise to me. There were also skeletons chasing behind him. Just a few yards in front of us, Souris caught up to the naga and slashed him across the back. The naga collapsed at our feet. He then turned and killed all the skeletons. I quickly healed him by Laying on Hands. I was just able to stabilize him before he died. Souris then said "Give me that naga. He knows where the necromancer is."

As he explained himself, things became more clear. The necromancer Daniel and I empowered used the amulet to summon an army of undead to his call and slaughtered all the residents aside from those in the churches. As all the civilians that died were raised, the army only grew. Souris arrived and decided to help. He has been going and supplying the churches with food and supplies. The naga tribes from the south came in on the invitation of the necromancer. With the nagas around, even the churches were not safe from raids. Four tribes arrived: red and blue venomous tribes and yellow and violet constrictors. The young naga at my feet was a yellow constrictor tribe member. I looked down at the naga and said "I won't let you get hurt, but you have to tell us why you came here and where the necromancer is." He hissed softly and said. "Humans keep encroaching on our land. There were once ten strong tribes. Now there are only seven. Our tribe came to establish our power before it was too late. The black necromancer is venomous but he still invited us. We had to go."

Hearing that, it made a lot of sense. He continued "This... monster began hunting us down. We have been in hiding every since he slaughtered the entire red venomous tribe. My tribeswoman was laying eggs he found us. I tried to protect her, but it was too late. He killed her." I wanted to see this for my self. I picked him up and had him show me. I winced and say the murder. There were indeed five eggs in the corner of the room. Souris went in and I stopped him. "No. Keep moving, we are here to end the necromancy." I looked at the naga and said "This has gone on long enough. Where is the necromancer? We won;t hurt any more nagas after the necromancer is dealt with." He fidgeted and eventually said "He is at the deepest level of the crypt. He does his magic there." Turning to the scout, I said "You stay and watch the eggs with this naga. We will be back." We then went directly there. I already knew the way. We had to hack and slash some undead, but it was an easy path. I ignored their looks as we got to the center. The necromancer was certainly displeased to see me.
