Since I was now a Standard Bearer, I was a minor commander in the order. I could recruit squires to join the party and request for certain operations to take place. There were other active paladins that also were promoted, but they were either the same rank or lower than me. I was the not the first paladin in the country, but they were not active and just glorified squires. Chien, Chat and Leon were promoted as well. All of us celebrated after the ceremony concluded. Chien and Chat were especially horny at the end of the evening. Cinnabun and Snowflake sniffed around and began hugging them. "Hey. You two are pretty strong. If you want a reward, we can provide a nice evening." Snowflake said. The comfort men of the Protectors had no use for their dicks, so a female was not something they wanted. They both clung to Cinnabun, who smirked in triumph. Snowflake looked insulted until I stepped in and said "Do not feel upset. None of us don't respect you or think you are not beautiful. Chien and Chat just prefer male company." They nodded and apologized to her.

The female guardian still looked upset, but just walked off. Cinnabun said "Follow me. I know a place where I can take care of you." He then led them off to the secret area. Leon just shook his head at them. A few hours later, Cinnabun carried both Chien and Chat over his shoulder. "I really like these two. If they were females, I would have bred them." he said as he gave them to us. They were sleeping. Leon looked at them an then at the guardian with a look of fear. He took Chat and turned to leave. I supported Chien as I dragged him away. He was still a bit too heavy for me. It was another hour before they woke up. They certainly looked refreshed. "What even happened to you? He knocked you out?" Leon asked. "No. He was so strong and soft that after pounding us both into the ground, he let us cuddle with him. We fell asleep without meaning to. We never comforted anyone that powerful." Chien said as he stretched. "Now that I think about it, Cinnabun is stronger than Master." Chat said. Leon looked at them and said "No more comforting the guardians. That's not right." He was jealous.

As we were done, it was time to return to Deerhome. We had the church to clean and purify. When we got there, we were still pretty unpopular. There weren't any roving bands of extremists though. We were able to buy supplies to clean the church with. It took two days, but it was done. A new cleric and monk appeared and asked around to find the others. "You should take stewardship of this church. We cleaned it up after all the violence. As you are the first to come here, you are the ones most qualified for this." I told them. They nodded and took residence in the church. That was a quest down. With all the quests and fighting we had been doing lately, I was now at level 30. We went to the manor to rest for a bit. After a day or two keeping my ear to the ground, I heard that there was nothing coming back from Fishbourne. No couriers went back and forth. No goods arrived. Nothing. If I went there, I could probably figure it out. It was probably the necromancer naga. It would not hurt to check it out. I also did not want the Protectors to know what I was up to. I told them to wait while I checked it.
