Daniel pointed to the left. "Let's go this way." he said. I did not care either way. We went slow and looked at our surroundings. We kept each other on our toes when we were about to set off a hidden trap that the other could not see. We had a few scraps with draugars, undead men and women with thin leathery skin stretched over bone with glowing blue eyes. They were stronger and a step faster than the zombies upstairs. We were still taking them on, but Daniel was getting a bit scrapped up. We waited for him to get his breath as I investigated the room. One of the still closed sarcophagi had a child in it. She was able to get out on her own. We told her to make the three rights and run. She nodded and began running. We moved on after I gave Daniel a potion. He drank it and went to full health. We continued going left. After another five turns and another group of draugars, we were a bit out of sorts. It was a problem when the draugars began throwing up warding spells and wielding deadly weapons. The whole concept was intimidating for me and Daniel was wholly under leveled for it.

We had to stop. We then went back to the beginning and took a rest. I checked the quest. It said "Children saved 4/11. Siblings saved 1/2." We were more than a third of the way there. Now that we went as far as we could on the left, it was time to go the right. We made five turns before we hit a dead end. There was a chamber where nine draugars were walking around. They seemed to be looking for something. Since the undead creatures were not paying attention, We were able to get some sneak attacks in. These did not have any weapons or magic. It made it so much easier. When they were done, two of the coffins opened. A boy and girl popped out. They both took a huge gasp and looked like us. "Those monsters trapped us in here." the boy said. The girl said "I thought that we were goners. They kept getting closer to us." We told them how to get out and walked with them as it all was a dead end anyway. When we got to the start the children ran up the stairs. They told us how to get to the next floor. It was two lefts, two rights, a left, another three rights and a final left turn.

That came up to nine total turns. lt was not something that you could intuit. Just as they left our sight, the quest was updated. That caught me off guard as it did not follow the established pattern. I turned my back and checked the menu in confusion. It said "Children saved 4/11. Siblings saved 1/2. Children killed 1/11." The children were in danger. This confirmed it. We went down the path that we were told and the quest updated again. We saved 6 out of the 11 children. 1 of them had to be one of her brothers." I said out loud as we cleared a path to the destination. Daniel was not talking with me. He had a grim look on his face and panted out loud. He was leveling up quickly. He was now level 11. Our path was now clear as we got to the stairwell to the lower level. He was low on health, so I gave him my last health potion. It helped but he was still tired and dirty. Another update happened. It made me not want to go look. "Children saved 7/11. Siblings saved 1/2. Children 2/11" it said. There were only two children and 10 minutes left. We waited until we had fully replenished our stamina. We went down.
