Kenny nodded and the sedan sped down the street. The van gave chase and they went through multiple red lights. It gained on the van. The third soldier that was in the club with them and Geralt opened fire. Geralt was riding shotgun while Kenny and the soldier leaned the guns out the windows. The van returned fire and the civilians on the street began to duck and scream in terror. The sedan was heavily armored and the glass was all bullet proof to prevent any harm coming to the passengers inside the car. Eventually they were followed by the local police. The van disappeared from sight as it sharply turned the corner. The black sedan was the only one being perused by the police cars. Kenny told the driver to ditch the cops and that they would continue on foot. The driver nodded before flooring it. It was fast and aggressive. It worked and they were off scot free. They left the car and took the money with them. They ran a block down and turned a corner. It was up to Kenny to call the facility for an immediate evacuation from their position. A familiar voice was on the other end of the line.
The head scientist chuckled and said "We thought this might happen. Stay where you are. We got you!" Ten minutes later, a minivan pulled up. The first head scientist and doctor smiled as they opened the door for them to get in. Kenny was very happy to see them. They climbed in the minivan and drove off. Circling around certain areas of the city, they eventually made their way towards the facility. When they arrived, the scientist turned his head to an expectant Geralt. "Don't you think the soldiers that protected you deserve a reward? Maybe you should thank them." he said. Kenny did his best to hide his displeasure. The driver smirked knowingly. "I know a way you can make it up to us." he said. Geralt shrugged nonchalantly and sighed. The other soldier blinked in confusion as Geralt took both their hands and lead them off somewhere. It was obvious what they were going to do. 'They won't get Geralt to cum like I did.' Kenny consoled himself as he walked to his quarters. He was resigned to taking the rest of the night off. Paperwork was not something that he was ready to tackle just then.
He got undressed and collapsed into bed. "I don't even know if I want to retire or get promoted anymore." he muttered into the dark silence of his room before deep sleep finally took him away into a dream. He woke up just as tired as he was when he laid down. He made his way down to the bottom lab and the lead doctor gave him a pill and a glass of water. "It's a vitamin. You look like shit." he said. Kenny yawned loudly before excusing himself. It was a gray pill with a green strip down the middle. He placed it in his mouth and washed it down with the water. He then plopped in the chair that he used by the phone and began to fill out the paperwork. Kenny could feel the intense gave of both the scientist and the doctor. Now that the pill was working and he was able to focus on his surroundings, he asked "What happened to your replacements? If they four of you got together, Wendalia would have taken over the world. Have they been reassigned?" The two smiled and shared a look. The doctor asked "Can we?" "No. If even he doesn't know by now, you can't push it further than this." was the reply.
It made Kenny more than a bit upset that they were keeping secrets from him. He was going to comment on it when the phone rang. Kenny turned from the two of them as he answered it. It was to keep his facial expressions away from them. They always could tell how things were going by the way his face changed. Duke Bastion was the one calling. It was a congratulatory call about the missions. "These were clandestine, top priority missions that we needed for our security. We though that one would be near impossible. You then went and killed two birds with one stone. And you even managed to complete the third mission as well. As one of my order, it is my pleasure to give you promotions." he commended. He was getting that promotion to Major. On top of that, he was also going to be promoted to Baron. He was following his father's footsteps. Kenny was very surprised and pleased with the outcome. He shared the news with the head doctor and scientist. They were also pleased at the news. Another thing was that Geralt was also going to get citizenship and Sergeant Major rank.
