I agree with chompy that we've probably got enough plotlines going on as it is, though it would be fun :) With respect to Mars, I agree that he's not evil or bloody-minded; in this universe, he is first and foremost the counterpart to Venus in embodying the fundamental nature of manhood. (Though, as the two ladies implied, that is more than slightly a different thing than what any one mortal would claim it to be.) To the extent that he represents war, it's because he represents all valiant struggle; Lucas in her fight against fate is acting within his domain, while there are plenty of conflicts in the past couple hundred years that he'd want no part of. (But I don't want to turn this into a debate on "just war," so we'll leave it at that.) Which means that the Romans, in picturing him as a god of slaughter and carnage, may have been projecting just a teensy bit...
