Once we got to the main desk of the motel, Suzie paid for two rooms with the money she had. She was given the keys and handed one to Kate. Suzie took my arm in hers and said "I'm taking Davie with me. We leave first thing in the morning, so get some rest." Finn glared at her as she dragged me off. I never did give him an answer when he said that he loved me. I wondered what I would tell him. In the meantime, I was actually looking forward to actually spending time with my girlfriend. We had been exchanging information in real life, but we were assigned to different home bases. As soon as we got in the room and closed the door, she kissed me. All of the news stations were talking about the attack on the port city of Gishow in Cadini. We were currently in Olipo, the country between Cadini and Yejolli. This would be very concerning news as a neighbor was attacked.
Umamu was fiercely denying the attack and Cadini was both in mourning and condemning both Umamu and Humabi. As one of the faction leaders, only they would be able to arm Umamu with mechas. Humabi was still not responding to the news. The ruling council elders apparently were mostly on holiday and had to travel back to the capitol before they could discuss anything. All that was coming from them were tepid condolences and wait and see responses from the junior officials their press could get their hands on. It was looking like everything was going according to plan. When we changed the channel, there was a breaking news alert about a raging forest fire assumed to be part of the attack. I shrugged and said "The evidence is gone. Even if the cockpit is still there, there isn't going to be any sign we did it." I said. Suzie nodded and straddled me. I saw she was hard and smirked up at her. "I've been waiting for this for a while. Do you want to top, or can I fuck you?" she asked. I grabbed her hips and said "I'll top.
