At the end of the battle, the Cold Hoofs retreated from where they had come Their leader and second had died and they routed due to their low morale. Only 5 of them were able to flee. It was not without heavy casualties for the Brave Whispers. There were 6 Brave Whispers left and 3 of them were critically wounded. I used a scroll and returned to half health. I then began to sneak off towards the city, but I was noticed by the leader of the warriors in the tribe. "We spoke on this already. You are to come with us." I looked at the remaining warriors and thought about whether or not I could take them. I quickly realized I could not do it. It took the course of the whole battle to kill the three in one on one fights. These were stronger and they would come at me all at the same time. I surrendered to them and I was flanked by 2 warriors on either side. The leader and the second were in front. There was no chance for escape. I now had a total of 12,300 exp. I was level 5 and pretty proud of myself. I guessed that I was going to be interrogated by the tribe chief.

When we got to the tribe, I saw they had wooden huts surrounding a large bon fire. It was not lit at the moment. There were several youths and women waiting for them at the edge of the tribe. The centaurs that had a warrior come home to them either cheered or hurried their warrior into the safety of the tribe for treatment. The women and older boys stood there with a stony face. It was the acceptance that they had been lost and the will to overcome those emotions. The younger children began to cry. With that happening, I was not the priority until the leader brought me to the center of the tribe. Eventually, the other centaurs came to the center and looked at me in confusion and wonder. The tribe was not sure what to make of me. An old centaur with a wizened staff walked to me and looked at the leader of the warriors. "What was the result of the battle? Were we victorious, Adeall?" I saw the leader nod and step forward to address the tribe. The two gave the tribe their report on the battle and recounted all that had been lost.

The older centaur looked at me and asked who I was. The second in command of the warriors said "This mare was traveling alone on the battlefield. She said she was going on her way. We and Cold Hoof both wanted to hold her to see if that was true. Feodair of Cold Hoof threatened her life and she joined us in the battle out of spite of them. She killed three of their warriors herself in the battle". The centaurs looked at me in surprise and it seemed that I garnered more interest among them. The other warriors did not get as many as I did. The battle was savage, but there were no real powerhouses that dominated. A warrior would get a hard earned kill only to get sniped by a well placed arrow or impaled on a pike. It was only through killing Feodair and his second in command that the Battle Whispers were able to win. The old centaur said "I was not asking you, Evates" and looked at me. I told the tribe that I was a travelling healer on my way to Epic City. The old centaur said "I am the shaman of the tribe. Unfortunately, we cannot allow you to leave yet".
