I stomped my foot and sighed. I was going to be involved in something that would only deter me from Epic City even further. Two centaurs from either side came down and met me in the center. "Who are you!? We don't know you" one from the left said. "Strangers are not welcome here!" one from the right snapped. "I was passing by traveling. What is going on here?" I asked in a calm voice. The four looked at each other in distrust and hesitance. I was massively putting them off their game by being there before them. Eventually a centaur from the right said "We are the Brave Whisper tribe. These plains should be ours. We are claiming them". The larger centaur on the left looked very angered and said "Our Cold Hoof tribe ancestors have roamed these plains for generations. We are proving that here and now!" I looked at them and said "Can you let me pass? I do not want to fight anyone here". Looking closer, I had noticed tall the Cold Hoof centaurs were black workhorses with blonde tails and hair. The Brave Whisper centaurs were brown warhorses with white patches with light brown hair and tails.

None of the four centaurs looked sympathetic to my situation. "No. You are different somehow and we need to find out what to do with you. The winners can take you to their tribe and deal with you" the leader of the Cold Hoof tribe said. The leader of the Brave Whispers nodded slowly and agreed. "This is something we cannot ignore" he said. I said "What should I do in the mean time?" It would obviously take some time. I did not have any time to waste on this. They glared at me and told me to wait on the side. They were going to send two centaurs each to watch over me. I shook my head. "I am not doing that. Either cancel the fight and take me or let me go" I said. It did not go down well with them. "We can kill you now if you want" the second Cold Hoof said. I glared at him and said "Fine. I'll join the Brave Whisper tribe. I don't answer to threats and you are not going to intimidate me". He looked at me bewildered. "Looks like we gained a fitting ally" the leader of the Brave Whispers said to his second. I went over to their side silently.

With that, they made their negotiations. When that broke down, they decided to fight. From what I heard, there were 18 warriors from the Brave Whisper tribe and 21 from Cold Hoof. I had joined the outmanned side. That was not good, but I could not change my mind now. I followed them to their warriors and they explained what was going on. A popup appeared. The game's battle mechanics calculated the exp. of all the enemies. That became the reward for the battle. The winners also split the rewards between the survivors for a bonus. It was a good way to exploit the system if you were lucky enough to survive to the end of a large scale battle. If you died, you got nothing and you could not respond until the end of the battle. With that out of the way, this battle was pretty lucrative for me. I stood to gain quite a bit. I accepted it and we charged after a few minutes. Due to the natural buffs of the Brave Whispers, they hit enemies hard. The Cold Hoof tribe had more, and while they were not as strong they had more energy to fight. I cut down three with my great axe.
