Sir Emeric came down and smiled when he saw me. "Oh. You came back sooner than we thought" he said. I shrugged and said I thought he might have a task for me. Emeric thought for a bit before he said "Well, there is one thing you could help me with at the moment". I nodded my head slowly. "And what is that?" I asked. He scratched his cheek nervously and said "I want to visit some of my kinsmen that live in this city. They live in the rough part of the city. I can not be seen fighting with thugs. It would tarnish the Order's reputation". The popup for the quest appeared. I accepted it and he led me to the eastern quadrant. We stood a few yards apart as he walked to a door with faded red paint and knocked on it. "You should get ready" he whispered. I had my glaive and readied it. The quest has several things I had to do. I had to escort him to and from this house. I also had to protect him from any harm. I wanted to learn more about the city.

When the door opened, we heard a shout. "Who is it!?" came the voice from in the house. "I'm trying to find out! Shut your yap!" a burly man said with his head turned back toward the interior of the house. He then directed his attention to the two of us. He looked at us cautiously until he got a closer look at Emeric. "Holy shit! It's fucking Emeric guys!" he said in glee. When he smiled I could see one of his eyeteeth was missing. Emeric hugged the large man. The man seemed all too happy to return it. "Paul! I just got the call from this branch of the Order. I'm living in the city again" Emeric said as he leaned back to look up at him. Paul smirked and tussled his hair. Paul looked at me and frowned. "And who's this?" he demanded. Emeric stood in between us and explained. "Well. I guess we can take this in the yard. Don't want him knocking everything over. The house is a shithole as is" he joked. He then led the way.

He let us in the weed choked yard. Several children also came out to play with Emeric and ask him to tell stories. A woman offered us biscuits and ale. I thanked her as I took my share. "So where's Macey. Did that brat forget where he cam from already?" Paul asked. Emeric flinched and said "We only got in this morning. He was feeling a bit tired and-" "Cut the bullshit!" Paul interrupted. "You came together, right? If you could get your skinny ass over here, why couldn't he? Even then, you had to bring a fucking 'taur as a backup. Did you think we'd rob you or some shit!" he snapped. He did not hold back in the slightest. I decided to step in. "Sir Emeric asked me to come with him because he loves you just as much as the Order. If he was stopped by some thugs, he'd kick their ass. But when word gets out a knight from his order is getting into petty fights, it brings the reputation down for everyone. Treat me like I'm not here" I explained. Paul crossed his arms as he thought about it. "We wouldn't let any punks fuck with you. This our turf!" he said.

Paul smiled as he walked over and sucker punched me. His attacks hurt and I lost HP. "Come on 'taur! Your a Yieldless. It doesn't hurt, right?" he mocked. "Yieldless"' was what all the NPC's called the players. It was a term of their endearment or wonder at our abilities. They were known largely as Natives. The slur they used for the players was "Master". It was because the more domineering players acted like they owned the whole world and did whatever they pleased. It took a whole in-game hour to complete the tasks. He smiled and said "Thank you. You did so much for me. I will repay it someday" He then said goodbye. If it wasn't the end of the quest, I would have wanted to stay longer. I did not want to waste his time though. I had completed the quest and I had gotten some valuable exp. for my efforts. On half health and without any potions, I made it to the store. I drank a potion right away. I decided to grind monsters. I fought slimes and goblins in the plains outside the city. When they died, they disappeared, but the blood stayed on the ground.
