I looked around. "You two are free for now. As long as you change your appearance so you can't be recognized, you can live here. Or you can go somewhere else and return from time to time to help the forest. What do you want to do? It's up to you" I said. They looked at each other and began to cheer and cry. It was a powerful moment, so I stayed quiet while they expressed themselves. They were artificially created and then hunted down. The hardships they had suffered was not something I could even imagine. When they finished, Reiner and Elis came closer to me. I backed up instinctively. "I don't understand. You're a Master. You're not supposed to be like this. I hate Masters! Why are you pretending to be good?" Reiner demanded. I said "I just wanted to help you. I don't want to take advantage of anybody. I just want to go on adventures and play with my girlfriend". Reiner faltered. It was then that Elis said "I want you. I don't care if I'm second, so please mate with me!"
Reiner shoved Elis and said "Wh-why are you giving yourself up for a Master!? He just said he has a Master for a lover". Elis growled and said "He's not like the others. I want him. And you want him too. Stop pretending. You are just as needy". That made Reiner take a step back. I stood between them. "Listen. I don't want you two to fight. We still have to find your friend. I don't mind doing things with you if you don't mind me putting my girlfriend first. I think you two are good people". Reiner smiled and said "That's it. I knew you weren't a pure creature. So that's your game". Elis smiled and said "After we find them, I'm going to mate with you". The two chimeras picked up the new armor and weapons. Elis purred as he climbed on my back. Reiner had a smirk on his face as he rode in front of him. I continued walking along as we looked for the chimera. Seeing as it could literally be anything, I was more concerned with looking for any signs of disturbance or fighting.
At the edge of the forest, we heard screaming and shouting. I galloped over as fast as I could. By the time I got to where the noise was coming from, the fight was over. I was shocked at what I saw. The chimera was near death. He had killed three players and was trying to absorb the fourth. She was still alive and was trying to resist. She was digging in her heels in the ground and trying to cut and slash at the tentacles. The chimera was able to pull her, but it was clear that in doing so, it was in pure agony as it also struggled to stay conscious. "Fucking... Master" it panted. "Give up already!" it cried out as the tentacles gave the woman a yank. The woman was able to cut the tentacle that was wrapped around her legs. She kipped up and pulled herself free. "Fuck this shit! I'm out of here". She began running off. The chimera glared and said "I'm not done for! Damn you. You made me use my... true form, bitch". It began morphing as it screamed in pain.
Morphing the wounded and bloody flesh must have been hard. We were stunned into silence. The chimera had the hindquarters of a goat, the forequarters of a lion, and a set of dragon wings. Additionally, the chimera's true form had three heads, that of a horned goat, a lioness, and a dragon. The goat head was black in color with red eyes while the lion head exhibited green eyes. The dragon head and neck was black with golden eyes. It was all covered in torn flesh. It was grievously wounded and it was breathing heavily. Its dragon head reared back as it gathered fire in its mouth. The chimera then released their fire breath. It engulfed the woman and before she could even cry out, she was ash. The chimera then collapsed. Reiner and Elis ran to its side and tried to get its attention. I had my final health potion in my inventory for my use. I offered it to them. They took it and gave it to the chimera to drink.
