Sir Macey came down and frowned when he saw me. "You're back sooner than we thought. What do you want?" he asked. I shrugged and said I though he might have a task for me. He scoffed and said "Well, there is only one thing you could be useful for right now". I crossed my arms and said "And what is that?" He smirked and said "I want to spar with you. You obviously need the discipline. I could develop and use techniques to deal with opponents with mounts or 'taurs like you" It made sense and the popup for the quest appeared. I accepted it and he led me behind the barracks to the training area. We stood a few yards apart as he drew his weapons. "You had better be ready" he smirked as he charged. I had my glaive and I repelled him. The quest has several things I had to do. I had to block 20 attacks, knock him of his feet once, and dodge 5 grapples. I did my best and focused on the defense. I also wanted to learn how to fight better.

Macey was very aggressive and bold. He put his whole weight into his heavy blows. He was also quick on his feet. It took a lot of focus to keep him from my flank. He was hard to keep at bay. I was using the glaive, but I also wanted to use my javelins. Throwing them seemed to disrupt him. He certainly had to dodge them. I probably threw harder than the average human. "These will not work if you can't aim properly. Try harder if you don't want to be a target for perverts like that" he said as he landed a blow across my chest. I swatted him away with the flat end of his glaive. He was knocked of his feet and looked stunned for a second. That objective was cleared. I just had to work on the others. I smiled from my accomplishment. He got up and said "Don't get too cocky! That was a lucky strike. Let's see if you can do it again". Macey then charged in and began another round of offense. The intensity increased.

He did not hold back in the slightest. His attacks hurt and I lost HP. "Come on now! Your a demihuman. And an Yieldless on top of that. It probably doesn't even hurt that much" he mocked. Apparently "Yieldless"' was what all the NPC's called the players. It was supposed to be a term of endearment or wonder. The slur they used for the players was "Master". It was because the more domineering plays acted like they owned the whole world and did whatever they pleased. It took a whole in-game hour to complete all the tasks. He smiled and said "Thank you. I think I've grown a bit from this experience. I think you did too" He then led me to the street and said goodbye. If it wasn't the end of the quest, I would have wanted to stay longer. As it was, I didn't want to waste any time. He turned back inside and shut the door behind him. I had completed the quest and I had gotten some valuable exp. for my efforts.

I was still on half health and I didn't have any potions or anything. I made it to the store and bought some. I drank one right away to heal myself. It felt great and I decided to go grind some more monsters in the area Suzie told me. I fought more slimes and goblins. When they died, they disappeared in a sparkle of blue light. The blood splatter stayed on the ground. He had been fighting for a while when he heard loud shouting and metal clashing. It made me curious so I went towards the sounds. A teenager came scrambling from out of the forest. He looked at me and smiled and charged toward me with a dagger. I tried to slash at him with my glaive, but he jumped up in the air and landed with one foot on the blade and the other on the pole. He held a dagger to my throat and purred out loud. "You're going to do everything I say. Is that alright, Master?" He was an NPC. By the crazed look in his glowing red eyes and his threats, he was a bad guy.
