Suddenly, reality shifted, and next to Jon was another goth that was precisely as sexy as she now was. You see, in the event of a tie, both people are given the title "first," so obviously, it's very possible for the second wish to be granted. One just needs to be able to see past the end of their own nose and think a teensy bit outside of the box. Which, of course, is what fiction writing is all about. You know, as opposed to being about correcting every minute mistake people make when you should just be going with the flow, because a story with a few holes is more fun to read than a story with self-important corrections swiss-cheesed all over the place.
Zoe and Athena balked a bit. "The hell is wrong with your stone?" asked Athena.
"I don't know. Maybe I didn't wish right, and it bounced. Let me try something else." Before Zoe could think of a wish, though, Sarah McMillan passed by, "accidentally" elbowing Athena as she did so.
"Oops. I'm so sorry," Sarah dripped sarcasm like Niagra Falls, "You know, you did your makeup all wrong. It's supposed to cover blemishes, not create them."
Sarah walked off before either of the two could say anything in retaliation, but Zoe clenched her stone in her hand as she said "I wish I could kick that girl's ass and not get in trouble."
Zoe and Athena saw the rock glow and felt a slight wave, as Karyn, the sexy goth, buffed up slightly, followed by a match in buffness from Jon to keep them equally sexy. Out of the corner of her eye, Zoe noticed the change and a smile crossed her lips.
The two now-buff goths rushed over, "I saw that," said Jon, "She rammed right into you. You want Karyn to do anything?"
"What?" Karyn asked.
"What, don't tell me you don't remember Principal McKay telling you that anything you did to Sarah wouldn't result in punishment." Jon said, "He gave you that card and everything!" Jon grabbed Karyn's handbag and pulled out a laminated card that said "The holder of this card may cause physical harm to Sarah McMillan without fear of punishment."
"Could you?" asked Zoe, "That self-important bitch thinks she know how to write my story better than I do. I mean, thinks she knows how to do my makeup better than I do." Athena was a bit confused.
"Well, I suppose," said Karyn, "why not?" She ran off in the direction Sarah was, and leapt into the air...
