Sarah wasn't sure why, but she wanted to help this Gena girl find the other girl - Sabrina. It would probably get her in trouble with the school again, if she skipped class, but she felt that it was too important to pass up. "I'm coming with you."
Gena nodded, then both girls headed in the direction Gena said Sabrina had gone. "Where do you think she went?" Sarah asked her.
"Well, something is wrong...she was in the middle of saying something when she left..."
"Well, I've been feeling weird all day," Sarah said. "Like something is wrong...and then Miss Smith gave me this whole lecture."
"What did you do?" Gena said, as they headed out the side door hot on Sabrina's trail.
"I lost my temper...but..." Sarah paused. "I can't remember what I was mad about."

Athena, on the other hand, continued to have muddled memories. She remembered Zelda as a friend of hers, both in high school and in middle school. She tried to not force her previous memories to come forward, though, fearing that she might lose them for good if she pushed against the magic too much. Having vague memories was better than having none at all. She smiled at Zelda and scooted over, inviting her friend to sit next to her.
"Hey, Zelda. Where have you been?" Becky said.
"Ended up in the wrong class," she said.
"Didn't anyone notice?" Lilly asked.
Zelda frowned at the question. "No..." They hadn't. She laughed. "Weird, huh?" She put the thought out of her mind. Sitting with her friends felt much more normal. She just wanted to put the whole weird morning out of her mind.
Mikey watched his new friends talk and joke around, the conversation turning from the weirdness to more normal topics. For a moment, he hoped nothing else would change. This...as scary different as it was...seemed normal...at least normal for a group of middle schoolers, he assumed.
Meanwhile, Danielle Chase entered Chesapeake Middle School.
