"So what now?" Athena asked. "I know I'm not supposed to be here. And I know you're in the same boat. So what ..." Athena said, but was interrupted by another student neither of them knew.

"There you two are. I was looking all over for you," the girl said. "No one saw you during first period class. Did you two just get here?"

"We had a problem at home," Mikey lied.

"Yours or Athenas?" the girl asked.

Athena tried to play along as well. "Well, my Mom had car trouble...and..."

"My sister had an emergency...like....high school stuff," Mikey said.

"Which one?" The girl asked.

Athena and Mikey exchanged confused looks for a moment at that. Neither of them recognized the girl, because they'd never met her, but she knew too much about them. In whatever was happening, would they stay in Middle School, or was it only a stop?

(Various places vary on this. Assuming Middle School is 11, 12, and 13 year olds. Some places have 11 year olds in elementary or 14 year olds in Middle School. 11-13 is what it is where I am)

Stephanie entered the school and looked around, confused about where to go. She turned into one of the classrooms and sat down. "Good of you to join us, Miss Wright," the teacher said.

"Sorry...my friend's little brother disappeared and we were looking for him....but that's no excuse," she said.

He looked satisfied. "Well, you can make it up later." He resumed the class, Dramatic Literature. Stephanie frowned for a moment. Wasn't this a Senior level class? But, she was a Senior, wasn't she? Her friends were younger, and it was her job to set a good example for them.

=====

Lilly Ross sat in the high school principal's office while they tried to figure out who would escort her over to her school. She looked particularly bored, till another student was brought in and sat next to her.

====

Zelda sat in her class, feeling rather overwhelmed and distracted. Nothing the teacher was saying made any sense. =What was with her today?=
