Jesse was someone who did his best to keep his profile low from the authorities. He wore his dark gray hoodie and black jeans as he kept to the walls. He had the latest sneakers no matter the season or price. In fact, he had all of the hottest sneakers the day they came out. He kept to the wall and was usually on his phones. One was whatever was the latest smartphone. The other was a basic flip phone. He spoke to his clients in corners of the school or in bathrooms. Dustin, Liam and Jerry knew better than to get involved with drugs. If they were caught with drugs in their system, their sports career would be over. That did not stop the them from seeing Jesse at all sorts of parties. As the approached him, he looked up from his phone and blinked. Liam said "We need your help right now. We need to open a locker." Jesse cocked his head to the side as he pulled out one headphone so he could listen closely. "You would be saving a life! Please!" Jerry begged as he grabbed his arm. Jesse looked down at his arm until Jerry removed it.
Liam said "Listen, how much would it take to open a locker. We need to get inside one." Jesse smirked and said "It looks like you need it really bad. I don't really know how much a life saving emergency costs. How about $100 sound. You can swing it, right? I know you can." Liam and Jerry pulled out their wallets and gave him $50 each. Jesse counted it to be sure and smiled. "Let's go." he said. Jerry led the way. When they got to the locker, Jesse reached into his back pocket, took out his key and showed them. "You keep your keys in your ass pocket?" Liam asked. Jesse rolled his eyes. "Cover me." he said as he put the key in the lock. Liam and Jerry watched the hallway for any faculty or staff. The door opened and the two yanked Jon's backpack out of the locker and dumped the contents out. The box fell out and clattered on the floor along with papers and pencils. Jerry tried to pick up the box, but it was if the box had weighed a ton. "Damn it. That stupid wish won't let me pick it up." Jesse looked at it with narrowed eyes as he stepped to it.
He used his fingers to lift the bottom of the box. It was easy enough and the wishing stone was exposed. "What's the deal with the rock? It grants wishes or something?" he asked. Jerry tried to reach for it, but Jesse stepped on it instead. "I'm waiting." he said as he crossed his arms. Liam rose his arms and balled his fists. He said "Dustin needs us to wish on that stone. Fucking move, or we'll move you." Jesse stared at the two of them before he laughed. "You two are serious? C'mon, there's no way. I get that a rock this small being this heavy is weird, but magic? I don't believe you." Jerry said "Just touch it and wish for something. Just get out of our way." Jesse just crouched down and held out his right hand. With his left, he reached under the sneaker and touched the stone. Jesse rolled his eyes as he thought of a easy wish to verify. "Okay. I wish that whenever I snap my fingers a fresh band of 20's fall into my right hand." His fingers began tingling and he flinched as he fell on his ass. Jerry then dove for the stone and made his wish.
It was a simple wish. "I wish Dustin was fully healed and only was mute when he wants to say something mean to someone important to him." Jerry said. A snap caught their attention. They turned just in time to see a bundle of dollar bills fall into Jesse's right hand. He stood up and smiled. "Consider this your payment. I will see you two later. Especially if you want something good for a party." He then walked off. No doubt planning what to do with his new found money and power. Liam and Jerry rushed back to the infirmary to check on Dustin.
