Speaking of that, the cloud that was responsible for this was "hibernating", as it only worked its "magic" at night. But it wasn't dormant. Currently, it was hiding deep in the Chesapeake Park wooded area. But it wasn't secluded. In fact, there were bicycle and jogging paths that could easily lead innocent, or not so innocent, people there, unsuspecting as to what awaited them.
Walking down one of the path was a young woman walking a dog. Caught up in her thoughts, she didn't notice that the area ahead suddenly filled with mist until they were right inside it, unable to see more than a foot in front of her. She sensed a presence, but was uncertain if it was another person, or her imagination.
She increased her pace, trying to find her way out.
