But Tina (Chrissy) wasn't talking to Athena or Zelda. She was referring to her own real mother - 39-year old Katie Shepard. But the woman she saw being hauled into the precinct wasn't the one she remembered. She was dressed like a whore and was throwing out obscenities like they were nothing, trying to struggle to get away from the cop who was escorting her in.
"What is it, sweetie?" Zelda asked her daughter, seeing Chrissy staring at a prostitute being hauled in by police. Why was Chrissy so interested in this scene?
Athena huffed, then pulled her daughter with her, intending on getting her out of this place. But Chrissy (Tina) didn't want to leave now. She wanted to know what had happened to her real mother. Why was she dressed like that? Why was she acting like that? Obviously, whatever had changed her had also changed Tina, and Athena and Zelda too, but what could that be? What was capable of doing something like this?

Speaking of that, the cloud that was responsible for this was "hibernating", as it only worked its "magic" at night. But it wasn't dormant. Currently, it was hiding deep in the Chesapeake Park wooded area. But it wasn't secluded. In fact, there were bicycle and jogging paths that could easily lead innocent, or not so innocent, people there, unsuspecting as to what awaited them.
