The doctors used some sort of transformation device to regrow his hair, mostly hiding his new implant, which didn't hurt in the slightest.
Jon's mother picked him up and drove him home. She made him sit in the back seat. She was strangely silent as she drove him back to his home. She barely spoke to him as she pulled up to the house.
He tried to open the door, but found that she'd turned on the child locks. He had to wait till she opened the door for him. He remembered she hadn't spoken much when she dropped him off. Whatever he was supposed to have done, it must have made her very mad to give him the silent treatment.
She opened the door and shooed him into the house. When he tried to go to his room, he found that a new lock had been installed. His mother pulled him down to the guest room.
So this was it...a guest in his own house.
