The next day Karyn showed up with two heavy duty trash bags, full of stuff. She had told the girls she would sort through it all, making sure that they each got what was their's and that things didn't get mixed up. Sara and Kala didn't love this, but thinking that Karyn had the stone (which she didn't) they agreed to it, and left, for the first time not walking in step with each other, now having at least separate names.

As Karyn watched them walk down the street, she breathed a sigh of relief, that could have gone terrible but instead, it worked out impossibility well, she felt like she got away with something, until she realized that she was now going to have to give all this stuff back. It was a bit of a solution, as she had no place to put all of it, or desire for most of it, but she was now having to undo all her work. And what work it was. She started by just creating a pile, which grew into a mound, like a pink volcano, ready to blow. She soon realized that there was no way she was going to be able to tell which girl had what, it's not like they wrote their names on their clothes, except for the cheerleader outfits. Those had names, she had four of them, at first she thought they were "home" and "away" but that's not how cheerleading works, the away team doesn't get cheerleaders, why would they. Upon closer inspection Karyn saw these were JV and Varsity uniforms, with the names Kara and Sarah on them. That was a problem, as the other girl had referred to herself as Kala, so if she gave Kara's cheer uniform to Kala would it turn her back into Kara? Did she even want that?
That's when it hit her.

Karyn treated the bags as Santa would have, as they sat on the beds in their still plain room. The only distinguishing marks the K and S above the beds. Karyn sat on the K bed, with the girls on the S bed, and the bags between them. The first thing Karyn pulled out was a JV cheer uniform which she gave to Sara, who looked at it confused for a second, it was a surprise to her that she would be a cheerleader, but the second she read the name, and held it in her hands, it came into focus, like a lego piece snapping into place. In her bag she found pink halter tops and make up and dresses and a purse (with an older samsung phone in it), and magazines and a few photos of her with some friends (two of which seemed to have been cropped strangely as if someone had been cut out of them). When it was all over Sara, was herself again, for the most part, there was something of a lag, as if her mind was trying to work out all of the information it was receiving, but there were signs that she was "back to normal" as it was, maybe not her full normal but she was once again a pretty popular JV cheerleader.

Karyn then turned to Kala and had her open her bag. The first thing she pulled out was a Players handbook for D&D, Kala puzzled at the book. "This is mine?" she asked confused. This was Karyn's gambit. "yeah, it's yours it has your name in it and everything" Karyn reassured Kala, who opened the book to see written in black sharpie "Stolen from Kala McMillian" in Karyn's handwriting. But in that moment it wasn't Karyn's handwriting anymore, it was her own, because this was Kala's book. The rest of the bag was fantasy books, dark clothing, anime movies, one of Karyn's old sweaters, a book of poetry, and old clarinet (which was once Karyns too). Karyn watched as Kala slowly became a mix of band geek, goth, and nerd. All the things Sarah wasn't.

In the room there was a feeling of something growing, a chaos, a confusion, the room felt like it was under construction, the girls were in a daze, it felt like it had worked....but had it? It felt unstable, unsettled, and most certainly like magic was at hand here. Karyn quietly excused herself to the bathroom and left out the back door.
The girls passed out, and when they woke up, began to argue.
