Two plain but pretty identical girls walked down the street, dressed in plain white shirts and beige skirts, as if they were recruiting for a the worlds most boring cult. They were the type of identical that went deeper than just looks, they walked with the same gait in time with each other down the street, their hair bounced in the similar way as they did so, and when they talked, in an flat alto which seemed like they were trying to avoid emoting, it had the same tone, the same feeling, so that you never knew which girl you were talking to. Not that it mattered, these girls were so plain that often they would give the same if not similar answers, and so it was that most people didn't refer to them as separate people. They were simply the McMillan twins. There were some who said that they were actual clones from their parents company and they just hadn't got the formula right yet, but that was never proven out said out loud as the McMillans were very litigious, and so it was that they just got away with having strange daughters, like most rich families do.

The girls walked down the street, and towards the Black family residence where they had been informed that a solution to there current situation was found. The wishing stone. It was the wishing stones fault that they were identical and that had been by design on the part of the first twin, and went tacitly unnoticed by the other, but it was also that stone which was the only logical explanation for their current condition and the last person to have it they knew, was Karen. Karen had a lot in common with the girls, mostly in her hair and bust, but she was taller than them, not as pretty in the face, and then there was the thing that made them both hate her, her personality. She was just like them, except she had style, she had a certain amount of grace, she was colorful and at times sexy (when she wanted to be). In the twins minds the changes that were happening in Karyn's room as she explored the room were affecting how they saw her, not as the tomboy, but increasingly as what they once were, and they hated her for it.

While they walked, Karyn was in her room and as she explored she took on parts of what used to be them to herself, and she hadn't even realized it yet. It was just small things, a smaller waist, some fashion and make up knowledge which she hadn't made use of yet, a new sense of confidence about her body she got from a bra she had yet to wear, but did wonders for her popularity when she did. In a purse that wasn't yet her's a phone was ringing, breaking her concentration from going through the mountain of things that used to be Sarah and Kara McMillan's personality. Karyn dumbly went to answer the phone and swiped at the green, the second she answered it with "Hello, Karyn speaking" the phone seemed to glitch out and the call dropped, and Karyn looked at her new Iphone annoyed, "5G my ass" she said as she put her phone in her pocket, as the network reset itself with her information, she suddenly knew a bunch more people. Then the doorbell rang.

Bethany Black, Karyn's mom, went to answer it, excited to report to the girls that she had found the mysterious rock they had been looking for, Bethany wasn't sure why, but it seemed really important to impress these girls, and so she had even made cookies for the occasion. Karyn stuck her head out to see who it was, but quickly stuck ducked back in when she saw two identical girls in white shirts and beige skirts. She listened from the other side of the door as they mono toned a request for the stone, as her mother offered them cookies, as they took the cookies impatiently. "Do you like them?" Bethany asked hopefully. "We do not like anything" One said "or dislike anything" finished the other. It was at this moment that three things occurred to Karyn, 1. That she didn't have the stone anymore, as she scrambled around looking for it and didn't see it anywhere 2. That these girls were now complete blank slates, empty canvas's on which she still could paint by adding to their plain barren rooms in which ever way she wanted, because of the wish she had made when she stole all this stuff. and 3. That she could NOT allow them to get the stone.

Her mom ever the klutz was rummaging around the kitchen looking for the rock while the girls looked on with equal impatience, when Karyn made her entrance. She never would have made a show of it before, but something new in her said that it was important, and she was a little disappointed when the room didn't respond to her presence, then again, she was in comfort mode at the moment.

"Oh are you looking for the rock? I have it." Karyn bluffed trying to fake helpfulness to her mother.
Suddenly a look of basic fear crept into the eyes of the twins.

"why don't you girls come to my room, I have something for you." Karyn said with a threat that was veiled by a plastic shower curtain.

The girls got up. "Stay" one of them said to Bethany. And she did, and the three of them left to Karyn's room.

Karyn stopped them at her door. "Ok wonder twins, there are two ways this can go down. One, I make some wishes." The girls bristled at this "or we try and fix what went wrong with the last wish." there was a choreographed relaxing expression on the girls faces. "You guys are weird, but I get it. Ok, just let me talk then."

Karyn opened her door, before them stood a mess of feminine popularity worthy of set dressing for a production of mean girls.

"These used to be yours. This is who you were, but I took it all and with it, apparently your personality." The girls looked on with frustrated logic.
Then Karyn surprised them "I'm really sorry about that guys, I didn't know it would do this." she said pointing out baseness of them, with her new knowledge it really was sad to see their potential go to waste, they could be pretty with some work. "So here is the deal, I'll give you back your stuff, if you let me keep the rock and leave me alone." They both looked at each other and then at Karyn. "I'm not planning on using it." Karyn's phone interrupted with a song that used to be Sarah's ringtone but was now Karyn's, which Karyn silenced. "Sorry, it's been going off a lot! Anyway, I just don't trust you guys with it. Not as you were anyway."

"How would that fix anything?" One of them asked.

"Well, if you have your stuff again, it might help remind you who you were." Karyn half truthed. "Like, here." and she grabbed the pink K and S from the floor and handed one to each of them. "those are yours." and with those words the girl holding the S (who used to be Kara, who was at one point Jon) Suddenly recognized herself as the owner of that S which stood for Sara. At the same time the girl holding the K (who used to be Sarah) suddenly recognized herself as Kala (the Hawaiian version of Sarah). They looked at each other with a light in their eyes, as if recognizing themselves for the first time. It felt good to be themselves again, at least in part.

"So that worked." Karyn said surprised.

"Yeah, I guess it did." Said Kala with a slight inflection of joy in her voice.

"So we have a deal?" Karyn asked.

"Yeah, I think we do." Said Sara hesitantly.

"Ok, this is how it's going to go down."
