"Thanks so much for the offer," Kate said after a pause, "but it's really OK. The owner said he was sending someone to get us later in the day - one of his friends has a power boat. As soon as they call, we're meeting them down at the beach and we're getting out of here. We just wanted to grab a bite to eat first."
Drew sighed in relief and nodded. Why hadn't she thought of saying that?
The waitress nodded, almost seeming like she didn't believe them, but simply put the check down and wished them well. Drew noticed she also left her phone number, just in case. Kate left a pile of bills on the table and the two walked out, waving to the waitress as they did.

As they continued to wander around town, Drew noticed what the waitress had meant by her needing a change of clothes - even in the light rain, her white top was clinging to her body and becoming see-though; her bra was very visible underneath. But, there was almost no one around to notice, so she just kept walking with Kate.

As afternoon turned to evening, the rain stopped, but the cloud cover made night fall faster. It was almost eight o'clock - the time they could change again. They two made their way back to the rink, careful to avoid the diner on the way.

As they continued, they saw a strange glow. Kate wanted to investigate, and despite Drew's feet hurting a bit from the heels she agreed. They headed for the beach and found a massive bonfire, several dozen people gathered around. It looked like the power was out in many of the houses around the beach, and the fire seemed to be mostly debris. There were drinks and two grills scattered around, and someone had a boom box somewhere - several people were dancing.

Drew and Kate walked back to the rink, and as they entered, Kate smiled to Drew. "Want to go hit that party?"
Drew smiled. "Better than sitting around here. But I don't want to wear this - or this body."
Kate nodded. "OK then. We can both change now - let's go as new people!"
"OK," Drew said. "I'll meet you in the boss's office. I need to use the girls' room."
Kate grinned. "OK then... I'll find us some outfits for the party!"
Drew nodded and walked off to the restroom while Kate took off for the office. As she slipped in, it occurred to her that leaving Kate in charge might have been a mistake - she was clearly having fun with Drew being the woman.
