Jon actually wasn't too surprised to see that one of the girls was Karyn -- presumably, the second girl who had spoken, since they had been studying for the history test last night. The other voice, though, belonged to Athena Stephanopolous, who he'd previously only thought of as one of Zoe's weirdo friends.
Both girls looked different than the last time he'd seen them. Karyn didn't have the blonde hair and large breasts caused by her inadvertent wish. Her natural red hair, though, was out of the short boyish cut Jon remembered, and instead was long enough to reach almost to her waist, looking as if it had been professionally styled. She had makeup on, something that Jon thought of as unusual, and was dressed in a way he hadn't seen her dress before: a green V-neck T-shirt that revealed a little bit of her modest cleavage and was short enough to show off her flat stomach, plus a ruffled black skirt that only went down to mid-thigh, plus, strangest of all, black ankle boots with stiletto heels that were a couple of inches high -- Jon didn't think he'd ever seen Karyn in high heels before.
Athena, meanwhile, didn't have the bizarre blue-dyed hair he remembered on her. What she did have was her hair in its natural black color, in a style that was short in the back and longer in the front, with two strands that framed her face either side of her face colored blue. She wore a long-sleeved black leather top that zipped up the front, the zipper strategically positioned to show off breasts larger than Karyn's, with matching leather pants with lacing up the sides, and boots with heels higher than Karyn's. Her makeup was also more prominent than Karyn's, and she had a pair of large silver hoop earrings in her earlobes, plus a number of smaller rings extending up the side of each ear.
Jon appreciated the fact that both girls looked sexier than he'd ever seen them look before, and he started to contemplate the nature of the polygamous society he'd created with the wishing rock, and --
"Earth to Jon," said Athena, waving her hand in his face.
"That's not the way to get his attention," said Karyn. She put her hands on Jon's cheeks, pulled his face towards hers, and pressed her lips to his.
Once they broke from their kiss, Athena scoffed. "Amateur," she said in Karyn's direction with a sneer. She grabbed Jon's wrists and put his hands on her breasts -- he could feel their weight beneath the leather -- as she pressed herself against him, forcing his mouth to open. He quickly discovered that, in addition to her extra ear piercings, Athena had a tongue piercing.
"It's my day," said Athena to Karyn after she'd pulled away from the dazed Jon.
"So...we'll let Jon settle this," suggested Karyn.
Jon wasn't necessarily interested in settling it right away. He was wondering about both girls and the wishing rock. It seemed that, in this altered reality, Karyn hadn't made any wishes to look like Sarah McMillan. Maybe she'd been smarter and hadn't blurted anything out, maybe Sarah hadn't been around yesterday morning, or maybe Jon hadn't even told her about the rock. And what about Athena? Neither girl had mentioned the rock yet, but there could have been plenty of reasons for that, like maybe they were waiting for the other one to bring it up first, or waiting for Jon, or --
He derailed that train of thought, because he'd come up with a quick test. He took the wishing rock out of his pocket and showed it to both girls in the palm of his hand. "Do you want me to try to settle it with this?" he asked.
