That morning, David went down to breakfast. She was wearing fairly reasonable clothes for her new body and stature. Her mother looked at her with some surprise. "You look good David," she smiled very hopefully to her. "Actually... you look older?" She looked now maybe.. thirteen to fourteen? Perhaps her sudden youth was temporary after all? Then again maybe it was just the more mature look she was conveying.
The rabbit girl felt herself blush. "I'm.. feeling better. Maybe.. I did get a little older too?" She thought that might have been the case, but she wasn't sure.
Her mother gestured her to a table. "I cooked breakfast. I thought you might not be able to stomach eggs and bacon any more, so I stewed some carrots. You might be a vegetarian now." She gestured to the table.
David sniffled the food. The vegetables did feel a lot more appealing. There was a bacon sandwich on the side, but... it was neither likeable, nor offensive. It just didn't seem to register a lot to her at the moment. Maybe her mother was right- again. "Thanks," she said sitting down and eating the carrots.
"Do you... want me to drop you to school?"
"I- I'll be fine, really mom. I'm going to face this myself. I still have a few friends, and I'm sure Matt will stick by me. We're like bros."
"Uh... sure. I hope that works out," Said Janet biting her lip. "Well, call me if you have any troubles."
David was in school for maybe... one hour. She didn't introduce herself to anyone yet, she didn't even sit at her usual place- though she did have her old homework and books carrying them along the hallway. "Stay cool," she said to herself as her ears flickered."You get one chance to make a good impression.. you can make lots of friends with this body. .. maybe. " Should she try making friends with a girl first? Or maybe she should try looking for her old friends? She wondered how long it would take until she bumped into Matt-
.. she literally 'bumped' into Matt as she turned a corner, paper flying all over the floor.
David gasped a little, stumbling backwards not even realising who she bumped into. She started to try and pick up the pieces of paper. "Sorry- uh... hello. Matt?" She said gazing up at him.
"Whoa... Bunny boobs." said Matt staring.
David glanced down. It seemed that in the bump her clothing had become dishevelled enough for him to see and with her bent down low enough to pick up her homework- "Gah!" she quickly adjusted her clothes as best she could. "Wait- Please- Matt!..."
Matt however was already backing away laughing. "The new girls got three boobs!"
"Matt!" David shouted fuming. But it was too late... she knew her secret was out, and it was Matt who was about to tell everyone.
" I thought we were friends."
Matt laughed as he couldn't believe just what he saw. He was spreading it absolutely everywhere. Some of the guys he was with didn't really believe him, but one thing was for sure the new bunny girl was getting a lot more stares as she sat down on her desk in the far corner.
Matt was still sniggering and telling anyone who would listen. He wished David was here... he would have found this hilarious! Of course most of the class didn't believe Matt... but he knew what he saw! He had to make the rabbit girl react so people would see he was telling the truth.
At break time he had complied a list of 'bunny boob jokes', and left it on the rabbit girl's table. Some of them he thought were pretty damn funny. Why can't a rabbit girl count to ten? They only have three toes and three boobs and can't figure out their fingers. Why did the rabbit girl see a surgeon? For another boob! What is a third breast good for? To help her float in the water...
.. and many other stupid and horrible jokes.
David would not let it bother her. Was was her old friend such an ass?
.. David realised she was one kind of girl.. the kind that kicks ass. She went straight up to Matt and gave him a hard kick.
