The McMillans didn't need a maid. After all, they had one, who had replaced their old one just this year...a young twenty something woman named Ada Nowak. Like the McMillan women, she was blond, but that was were the resemblance ended. She wore loose fitting work clothes, her hair tied up, and was quiet much of the time. Her English was passable, but heavily accented. She was from somewhere in Eastern Europe, but Sarah hadn't bothered to learn from where.
Rebecca Fine didn't introduce herself as a cleaning lady here...but there were other forms of cleaning. She knocked on the door, and was let in by the maid, meeting Susan McMillan for the first time. Susan looked much younger than what she must be, having a teenage daughter. "Mrs. McMillan...I'm Miss Fine...I'm here to help," she said, soothingly.
