Attempting to do more experimenting, Jon said the first thing that came to mind. "Karyn, be dressed."
In the blink of an eye, Karyn was no longer in her old terrycloth bathrobe. She now wore a halter top, a denim miniskirt, and a pair of high-heeled sandals. But that wasn't all -- she also had on a fair amount of jewelry (including several earrings in each ear and a charm dangling from a pierced navel), and her blonde hair looked as if it had been professionally styled, and she was wearing makeup that appeared to have been professionally applied, albeit perhaps put on a little too thick.
Jon had never seen Karyn in an outfit remotely like the overly sexy attempt at "casual wear" that she now wore; it was as if it had been shaped by the base levels of his subconscious. "Oh, man, Karyn, I'm sorry," he said.
"Sorry for what?" asked Karyn. "Thanks for getting me dressed. So I guess you do have magic powers -- you didn't even need to say 'I wish.'"
"So you think you've always dressed like that?"
"Not exactly like this, but, yeah, how else would -- oh, wait, what did you do?"
"I'm not sure," admitted Jon. "I swear, I don't know what's going on." He looked around his room, which had been enlarged and rearranged to make room for the new stuff he had wished for. "I don't even know where the stone is."
With that, the object in question suddenly appeared in his outstretched palm. It was glowing steadily. He and Karyn both frowned at it.
"What does that mean?" Karyn finally asked.
"I have no idea," Jon answered. He put it down on the nightstand next to his bed. It still glowed once he let go, but as his hand moved farther away, the glow began to get fainter. He reached his hand back and touched the stone with a fingertip. Back to the full brightness.
"That is really weird," Karyn observed.
"You're telling me," said Jon. "I guess I have to try this, though -- I wish..."
