"How the hell did you do that, Jon? Did you wish for magical powers?" Karyn asked, tightening her robe, making sure she wasn't exposing herself.
"No, I didn't. All I did was wish for a few things around my room, like the TV."
"Huh? What are you talking about?"
Jon was about to get out of bed and show Karyn the new TV he wished up, but he suddenly remembered that he was naked under his bed sheets. "The plasma screen, over there," he said, pointing to the wall.
"Jon, you've always had a plasma screen."
"What?" But then Jon realized that to Karyn that would have always been true. She didn't hear the wishes he made, so to her (and anyone else) it was as if Jon always had the HDTV and the king-size bed and his own personal bathroom. "You don't notice anything's different, Karyn, because you didn't hear the wish."
"Oh, that is so weird. I even remember when you got it."
Jon needed to get dressed. When he made himself naked, he didn't know that his mom and then Karyn would be stopping by.
"Karyn, could you grab some underwear from ..." Suddenly, he stopped. One moment, he felt the bed and sheets touching his body, and then the next, he felt his body touching a pair of boxers. He pulled back the covers and saw that he really was wearing a pair of his boxer shorts.
It happened again. He wanted something and he got it. First it was Karyn and now it was his underwear. What was happening?
