"Let's go get something to eat!" Jason said.
"Great idea, I was on my way to the food court already."
As the two headed off to the food court, Jason looked around to see how other people reacted to her new look...not a lot of people, to his disappointment. Occasionally, she'd be stared at, oftentimes by small children, but nobody freaked out at her flipped face.
They then sat at a table, both having bought burgers, fries and their choice of drinks. Jason was doing his best to keep up the small talk with Chloe, but could not help but notice some subtle differences brought on by the major change, like how she instinctively placed food and drink towards her forehead, as that was where her mouth was.
After a few minutes, Chloe broke the awkward silence.
"Jason, is something the matter?"
"Why do you ask?"
"Well, you've barely touched your drink, and you've been rather quiet the whole time. What's up?"
Jason struggled to find an answer.
