(Based off The Guest’s branch where it looked like a three way swap)
She started down the stairs then paused, seeing everyone in the room below frozen, surrounded by a cloud. What was going on?
Her mommy, daddy, and Melony were all standing there like statues. Is this a game? Can I play?
She ran down the stairs and into the cloud herself. The cloud suddenly disappeared. She looked up.
"Molly, what are you doing out of bed?" Melony said, sternly.
"I wanted a drink of water, and there was this funny cloud..." she said.
"I'll get it," her Daddy said, heading to the kitchen.
Molly nodded turned to her Mommy, taking the bills for a few second before handing them to Mrs Stevens. "Thank you for watching her."
"My pleasure, Mrs. Stevens," her Mommy said.
Melony felt confused. Mrs. Stevens was what Mommy was called, why was she calling Molly that?
"I'd better get home," Mommy said, and headed toward the door.
Her daddy came back with the water, and saw his daughter looking very confused. “Melony, is something wrong?
Melony took a gulp of the water. “Isn’t... that.... Mommy?” She said, unsure about who exactly just left the house.
Molly chortled and took Melony by the hand, leading the larger black girl up to the bedroom. “Silly Melony, I’m Mommy! That was your baby sitter.” Molly turned around and patted Melony on the thigh. “You must be so tired.” She cooed as she stood up from where she was kneeling, picking her adopted daughter off the stairs and carrying her to her bedroom.
