Sarah knew that sooner or later, she had to confront Jon. Better sooner than later, especially since the fate of the world was at stake.
"Very funny, Kevin." said Sarah. "Or should I say, Karyn?"
Both Jean and Kevin froze at that. Sarah didn't let them attempt to utter a denial. "And, you, Jean, are really Jon, am I right?"
Kevin nodded silently, then turned to Jean. Jean was silent for a bit, and then said "Yes, I am Jon. But how did you know?"
"Wouldn't you like to know?" Sarah replied. "I also know that you have the power to read minds as well as shapeshift, and you're probably wondering why you can't read my mind at the moment."
Jean just nodded. "What else do you know?"
"I happen to know a lot. I know that you transformed Karyn into Kevin against her will. He's supporting you in your plans for some reason, though I doubt you've shared your magic powers with him. He's probably doing it so you don't turn him into a warthog or something."
Kevin started to say something, but stopped. He looked at Jean as if to say "You wouldn't, would you?"
Sarah went on. "You also changed several people at our school. It's all a joke to you, isn't it? You think it's funny to turn big tough boys into bimbo cheerleaders because you think all cheerleaders are bimbos, right?"
"They had it coming." Jean said. "Biff, Reggie, Ronald, and Jim were bullies. Steve and Moose were jerks."
"And you know that Chaz was a pervert!" Kevin added.
"That doesn't give you the right to do what you did to them!" retorted Sarah. "You violated them! You altered their minds and their bodies, and you probably laughed yourselves silly about it afterwards. These are human beings you're messing around with, no matter what you may think of them!"
"They were bullies and jerks." Jean repeated. "They kept making life miserable for all the 'geeky' and 'uncool' kids at school."
"Oh, and you're not being a bully?" Sarah said bitterly. "They don't have magic powers. They can't keep you from transforming them, and they can't change themselves back, either. Most of them don't even know they've been changed! Were you planning on changing them back?"
Kevin turned to Jean, as if silently asking the same question. "Maybe." Jean said.
"MAYBE?!!" exclaimed Sarah, not caring if the employees and few customers of Dino's Pizza heard her. "Do you realize that you've turned Chaz into the living embodiment of a 'dumb blonde' joke? How long do you think Chastity's going to last in the real world? She'll most likely die in some dirty rundown, rat-infested slum, raped and murdered by thugs! And that's if she's lucky! Did you stop to think of that?!"
Nearby, Mickey was asking Nicole what was going on. Nicole told him to be quiet and stay out of this. The other customers had left. A number of employees were watching the scene from behind the counter. Sarah went on.
"And I can't guess what'll happen to those bimbo cheerleaders you created out of Reggie and the others, but I don't think it'll be very good, either. It's already too late for one of your victims. Did you know what happened to Mike 'Moose' Matthews?"
"You know already. I made him live up to his name." said Jean with a smirk.
"Yes, you turned him into a moose, just as you turned Steve 'The Stud' Farber into a horse. But you didn't give Moose a stable or anything like you gave Steve. You just left him to wander around as a moose. Just a few hours ago, I was driving down the road, when I ran into a spot of traffic. It turned out one of the cars ahead had hit a moose. I got close enough to see the poor creature as it breathed its last breaths. I knew who it was, just as I knew who your other victims were. Moose is dead, Jon! And it's your fault!"
"My God..." Kevin gasped. A few tables away, Nicole, too, had a shocked expression on her face. This was the first she had heard of this, too.
Jean looked stunned and guilty. "I...I didn't mean for that to happen. Believe me, I don't want anyone to get hurt. I'm only doing what I feel is best for the world. I'm trying to save lives, not destroy them."
"Oh, is that how you're rationalizing trying to conquer the world?!" Sarah retorted.
Sarah hoped she was not overplaying her hand here. She realized that she was revealing at least that she had the power to know just what Jon had been doing to who, if not that she had found and recreated the wishing stone, and used it to give herself powers like Jon's to defend herself. She knew this confrontation was risky, which is why she had told Nicole to not reveal that she had the same powers until Sarah gave the signal.
