Kevin quickly took Jon to a corner where he was sure no one else would hear them. Then he told Jon his idea, which involved both Sarah McMillan and another friend of Karyn/Kevin's, a shy boy named Jimmy Gordy.
Jimmy Gordy was a shy, introverted young man who sat next to Karyn in English class. Jimmy was a really nice boy, considerate and kind to everyone. But because he wore glasses, was thin, and would rather read books than watch or play sports, many of the mean-spirited in-crowd, such as Sarah and her assortment of friends and boytoys, would pick on him. More than once, Karyn had caught Sarah calling Jimmy all sorts of unpleasant names, and seen Biff or Reggie abuse him physically and verbally in the hall. Karyn wished they would stop picking on him (but of course, then it did no good, as she didn't have the wishing stone or anything like it back then. Now, on the other hand...).
Then, one day, as they were walking together in the hall on their way to lunch, Sarah and her usual entourage briefly passed by, and Jimmy blurted "I wish I had her body."
Karyn couldn't help noticing the tone of Jimmy's voice. It was not a tone which indicated that he meant he wanted to 'do it' with Sarah. No, it suggested something else, something Karyn wasn't sure whether to bring up, because it wasn't really her business. Still, she decided to make a joke. She said something like "Yeah, you'd probably do better than the one who's currently using it."
Even though Karyn had clearly only meant it as a joke, Jimmy responded with "Don't tell anyone, please." She then had to ask Jimmy what she wasn't supposed to tell. And Jimmy led her to an empty classroom, and proceeded to tell her.
Jimmy told her that he had always felt that he did not fit in with his sex. As a child, he preferred playing with girls rather than playing with boys. He didn't feel he was a boy himself. Lately, he had secretly borrowed his sister's clothes and dressed in them in private, then returned them. He said he wasn't sure, but he might even be a transsexual. He hadn't told anyone this, not even a therapist. He didn't want anyone to know. But Karyn had always been kind to him, so he chose to open up to her at the spur of the moment. He then made Karyn promise not to tell ANYONE.
That conversation was just before the spring break, and Karyn had kept her word. She hadn't told anyone about Jimmy, including Jon. Since then, Jon had been left the magic wishing stone by his grandfather. Jon then used it to grant himself immortality and power over nearly everything. Then he destroyed the stone, and transformed Karyn into Kevin. Since Jon had altered everyone else's memories, Jimmy probably didn't remember Karyn, and probably didn't remember making the confession either. Kevin doubted that Jimmy would have confessed to Kevin, as this wasn't the sort of thing one confessed to boys.
Kevin finished telling Jon all of the above, and concluded with "So, I think with your new powers, we have the perfect opportunity to do two things. One, give Jimmy the body he wants, and two, punish Sarah for being so mean to us and Jimmy. Have them swap bodies. I think Jimmy will make a much better Sarah than the one we've got."
Kevin wished they still had the wishing stone. With it, Kevin could have simply wished Jimmy and Sarah would swap bodies. But now, he had to ask Jon to do it, as the power now belonged exclusively to him. "We can do it at lunch. So, will you do it?" Kevin asked Jon.
Jon paused, thinking about it for a moment, and then...
