The next morning, Jon and Kevin met at the yard outside the school. "So, how was your morning?" Jon asked.
"It was weird." Kevin said. "At first, I thought the whole thing was a dream, and then I woke up, still Kevin. Mom even called me Kevin. I didn't bother to ask if she remembered having a daughter named Karyn. This is going to take some getting used to."
"Don't knock it till you try it, Kevin." Jon said. "You might come to like it in time. And since you remember being a girl, you'll have an advantage over all the other guys. You know what girls go through, after all."
"I guess." said Kevin. "You know, I'm a pretty good-looking guy. I wonder how Sarah will react to the new me."
"Hmm, Sarah...there are all sorts of things we could do there." Jon said.
Kevin suddenly remembered that it hadn't been a wish on the wishing stone that had transformed him into Kevin. It was Jon himself, now granted super power by the rock. Jon now could transform things himself, without the limitations of the rock. He could also move at super-speed, fly, and do all sorts of other things Kevin hadn't thought of yet. "Jon, did you go to sleep after you left last night?"
"Not really." Jon replied. "I was just too keyed up. I decided to zip around the world at super-speed, like Superman or the Flash. I went to New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, London, Paris, Rome...I even got some souvenirs." He pointed to the t-shirt he was wearing which depicted the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
"You DID pay for them, right? You didn't STEAL them or anything?" Kevin asked.
"No, I paid for them. I just conjured up some money, and I could buy just about anything." Jon said cheerfully.
Kevin sighed with relief. "Good. They charge too much for those souvenirs, but that doesn't mean you should steal them."
"Hey, trust me." Jon said. "I know what I'm doing."
"You keep saying that." Kevin said. "I'm saying this because I'm your friend, Jon. Be careful with those new powers of yours. I don't want to see you or anyone else get hurt because of them."
"Thanks, but I already made a wish for me to be immortal before I got rid of the wishing stone. I know I can't be hurt at least."
"Maybe, but..." Kevin ended his statement right there, as other students began passing by. School would officially begin in just a few seconds. Kevin wanted to say more to Jon, but now was not the time. Not in front of the others. For now, he had to respect Jon's request that this be kept secret.
Just then, Kevin noticed Sarah McMillan approaching with two of her male admirers. "Hmm...Sarah." said Kevin. Indeed, there were all sorts of possibilities now. And not all of them involved Jon's new powers.
"Got some ideas?" Jon asked Kevin, whispering.
"As a matter of fact..." Kevin said with a smile.
