He knew... Miss Warren realized. She suddenly had a fairly good idea what had happened to her, although not why. But she didn't want to be Jon again, even if she knew that was who she was supposed to be, she was emotionally the person she was right now. She wasn't sure how long she'd even have a clear idea of Jon's memories as new thoughts mixed in. She did, however, want to put a stop to this. Such an item as the stone shouldn't be in the hands of a little boy. Especially a naughty one who did this.
She gave the students a quiet activity and helped Mikey out to the hall. "Mikey, is there something you want to tell me?"
"Umm...no," Mikey lied.
"You didn't expect to see me in school today, did you?"
He thought about that, then his face lit up as he got the subtext. "Jon?"
"Miss Warren," she corrected, sweetly. "I can't help you outside of school, Mikey. You should talk to his best friend. She can help you."
"Kar..." he started.
"Yes," she said, interrupting him. "Now, we have a math lesson to do."
"What does it feel like?" He asked her, softly, embarrassed.
She smiled and shrugged. "Like he was someone I knew," she said, vaguely. "And this is who I am now." She paused, thinking. "Maybe, if you don't feel well, you should go to the office and call your mother to take you home." He wasn't going to be much good in class today anyway.
He nodded.
