Jon drove to her school and parked her car. Slinging her pocketbook over her shoulder, she entered the building. She stopped in the office and made small talk with one of the kindergarden teachers...whom she knew even though she'd never actually seen the other woman in her life.
She went into her classroom and caught up on some student assignments and then started writing the assignment on the board.
She heard the sound of her students filing in and quickly finished writing and turned. "Good morning, class," she said. She smiled as they beamed back up at her...except Mikey Madison.
Mikey's jaw flopped around like a dead fish and he slumped in his chair as if his limbs had suddenly failed him.
He knew... Miss Warren realized. She suddenly had a fairly good idea what had happened to her, although not why. But she didn't want to be Jon again, even if she knew that was who she was supposed to be, she was emotionally the person she was right now. She wasn't sure how long she'd even have a clear idea of Jon's memories as new thoughts mixed in. She did, however, want to put a stop to this. Such an item as the stone shouldn't be in the hands of a little boy. Especially a naughty one who did this.
