(Author's Note: Wanted to give this a bit more...It is mostly Anonymous51's version, with some expansion)
Leonard was slurping his cereal when suddenly he had an impulse to stand up. He felt like he was being controlled by some unseen puppet master as he left the table. That bothered him, although not as much as the fact his parents didn't even look up as he dropped his spoon against the side of the bowl with a loud clang and pushed his chair back, getting up.
He heard the sounds of someone on the stairs. His attempts to control his body only seemed to slow it, not stop it. He was able to turn, but still kept creeping toward the door.
He watched as what looked like a female version of him came down the stairs. And she was wearing his clothes! She took his place, picking up the spoon and slurping her cereal.
"I do wish you'd consider your appearance more, honey," his mom told her.
Was this Invasion of the Body Snatchers? Had he been replaced? Had he walked into some parallel universe? A score of science-fiction and fantasy options filled his mind.
The girl emitted a nasal snort as she pulled the unwashed long hair out of her eyes. Was that what he looked like? He was getting oddly turned on and simultaneously disgusted by a female version of himself.
She seemed oblivious of his presence, as did his parents. "Lydia, dear, don't you want to get into a good college?"
Unable to stop himself (although, deep down, he knew this was what he had to do), he walked through the neighborhood, seemingly aimlessly. But part of him insisted that it wasn't aimless. He knew exactly where he was going. He wished that part would tell him.
