She stripped down, placing her plain and modest clothes in the hamper. She stood in front of the mirror, completely naked and combed out her hair, then tied it up in a rather serious and mature style. She then slipped into lingerie that would have made someone...she couldn't remember be furious with her. No one would see it, of course. It was more for her benefit. On top of that she slipped into a pair of white slacks, an olive-colored blouse, and a pair of sandals.

Tastefully putting on only a small bit of makeup(another thing she was not permitted in her previous life), she slung a purse over his shoulder and grabbed a cell phone out of the charger on the nightstand. She had a busy day ahead of her.

Her name was now Yuki Webber and her driver's license said she was 28. Her husband was a lawyer. They had both met working in the same office building downtown, although not in the same office. She had two children, although the older one, Erika, was only her stepdaughter.

She headed into Erika's room. "Do you want a lift to school? I have to drop off your brother and we're leaving in fifteen," she said, in suddenly perfect English.

Erika didn't get along with her stepmother, but not due to anything that the woman had done to her. She just didn't like her own mother replaced by a younger model, and thought the woman a gold digger. Regardless of what Rachel Webber had or had not been, Yuki was nothing of the sort.

"No, thanks," she said.

Yuki thought she heard the front door slam, but attributed it to her imagination and headed toward the kitchen where a little boy was eating breakfast. "Are you almost ready to go?"

"Yes, Mommy," the five-year old told her. He looked absolutely nothing like the Japanese teenager who had been cast in the role of his mother.

"Good," she said, affectionately, smiling at the boy. "Finish up and get ready. We don't want to be late."

Meanwhile, Rachel, perhaps a gold digger, but that was immaterial at the moment, had left everything behind. Or was it even hers to begin with? Her things were...she made a sudden right turn...in this house.
