Mikey, still in Melony Tyne's body, followed Sabrina up the street. She was heading toward the school. She entered, heading toward one of the lockers. The halls were filled with students milling about. It was still first period, and some students didn't have a first period class. The halls would be dead by the end of the period.
Mikey frowned. How did he know that? It must be something he picked up from Melody. Unlike Christine, he seemed to be almost fully himself.
As he watched, Sabrina walked up to a locker and unlocked it. The owner of the locker had kept a spare set of clothes inside in a bag, which she took out. She began to strip out of her clothes in the middle of the hallway, dropping her boots on the floor, stripping off her skirt, and replacing them with a pair of tan slacks and a button-down shirt...both male.
Reaching up onto the top shelf of the locker, Sabrina found a pair of glasses and put them on. There was a sudden odd transformation as she did. Her piercings fell out of her ears onto the floor, the holes sealing themselves up. The masculine clothes shifted into feminine versions of the same...the cut of the pants and shirt.
"What are you looking at?" Sabrina asked Mikey. There wasn't the same anger there. More confusion. "Never mind, I've got to get to class." She shrugged off the encounter and continued on. She still seemed to have her old confidence, that Mikey had seen before her change. Maybe it was that energy that had fueled this more rapid change.
A hand pulled on his arm. It was that girl from earlier. Melony's friend. "Where did you disappear to?" She asked.
