Scott yelled "I'm upstairs!"

"Coming, Susan!" yelled Scott's aunt back.

He decided to just wait outside his room until his aunt came up, which didn't take long. "Hello, Aunt Susan," he said, "it's me, Scott. I know I don't look it, but you've got to believe me! I got a magic medallion that transformed me...."

Scott's aunt said, "I don't know who you are but you're certainly not Scott, and you may look a little like Susan but you're not her either. She's a lot older than you and she wasn't pregnant when I visited her last month. Of all the nonsensical... wait. You called me 'Aunt Susan'."

"Yeah, I did."

"Nobody ever calls me that except Scott. When he was five, he saw a picture of me and his mother. Dad told him 'that's Susan'. Scott didn't know his mom was named Susan, so he thought Dad meant me instead."

"That's because I am Scott!" said the pregnant woman.

"Well, could you please call me Aunt Sharon instead? You've known my name for years and it always gets confusing when you call me by your mom's name."

"Okay, Aunt Sharon... oww... it's starting to hurt, I'm getting these cramps..."

"Never mind that for now, could you please tell me what's going on?

"I'll say it again," said Aunt Sharon. "Of all the nonsensical... Okay, you talk a lot like Scott and you're obviously family in some way... but can you prove it to me?"

"Look, Aunt Sharon, I... Fine. I'll prove it. Do you have anything you... Ow! The cramps... anything you haven't worn in a while?"

"With me?" asked Aunt Sharon. "Hmm. I have a winter hat in my pocketbook." She rummaged through her bag and found a red woolen hat.

"Okay, now take the amulet off of me, wear it, and touch it to the hat."

Sharon did it. "I feel strange," she said.

"Your hair!" exclaimed Scott. "It's lighter! And longer!"

Indeed it was. Sharon took a mirror from the same bag and looked at herself. "I dyed it and I cut it after I last wore that hat. It looks like this thing is real! It changed me to what I was like when I wore the hat." Sharon then took off the medallion and put it back around Scott's feminine neck.

"Good," said Scott. "Now that you believe me, you can help me!"

"How can I help you?"

"Aunt Sharon, you're a nurse. You know how to deliver babies. I wasn't planning on being my own Mom! Do something...."

"Scott, calm down. Your parents will be home in three hours. Labor lasts a lot longer than three hours. You probably won't give birth until tomorrow evening. There's no way I can do anything before your parents get back."

"I guess you're right," said Scott.

"And I doubt that the baby is just going to disappear after you give birth, either."

"Isn't there anything you can do, Aunt Sharon? Maybe use the medallion on the baby?"

"Well, you could turn him into a tree and change him back in a few decades, but I don't think it works on trees. You could make him older, but the note says the amulet doesn't do a lot of mental changes, so if you make him a teenager he might talk like a two year old or not at all."

"Yeah, I made a really big mistake just picking some clothes at random. So there's nothing I can do except wait for Mom and Dad and see what they say?"

"Pretty much. Let me help you downstairs to the couch. I'll wait with you. I bet your parents will be surprised, and that's an understatement."
