As Joan and Karyn headed upstairs, Joan's mom called up, "Do either of you want something to drink?"

Joan called back, "We're fine, mom."

They went into Joan's (now very girly) bedroom, and closed the door. "So where is it, Joan," asked Karyn.

Joan shook her head, then walked into her closet, and grabbed a pair of boots from out of their box. She poured the stone out from inside the left boot.

"That was neat, Joan. How'd you know there? You didn't even know you had those boots, did you?"

"I had no idea. I just wished that I'd be able to find it immediately."

Karyn said, "So Nicole wished that you'd have to wear skirts, make-up, and tight clothes?"

"Yeah, I had had the stone in my shorts pocket, and in the middle of the basketball game, it went flying out and all the way over to stop at Nicole's feet."

"Geeze, Joan, I just can't even picture you playing basketball. Or any sport for that matter. I can't even picture you without a skirt on." Seeing the look in Joan's face, Karyn stammered, "Uh... Sorry. It just seems so weird."

"I used to love sports. I wasn't great at them, but they're a lot of fun. But anyway, to get back to it, Nicole picked up the stone right away, and when I complained about the pockets not being better, Nicole wished that we (meaning guys) knew how lucky we were to have clothes that generally had pockets.

"Umm... I better put this down until I finish," said Joan, laying the stone on top of her desk.

"So I rather flippantly agreed that we were lucky, while demanding the stone back, and I guess she got upset at my tone. So then she made the wish about the clothes. And then when she saw what happened, that I was a guy wearing women's clothes, she wished that I'd not look out of place in my clothes. And apparently the stone's interpretation of that was that I was, and always had been, a girl."

Karyn thought about that for a minute, and then said, "Well, this doesn't sound too bad. Maybe you can wish that the wish for clothes and make-up was only until you'd experienced what it's like to be a girl."

"Well, I've certainly experienced the worst of that, today. Let me give it a try." So Joan made that wish, and then poked her head back into her closet. "Well, it looks like I own a few pairs of pants, now. Let me go get rid of this make-up now. Oh, and do I have any t-shirts?"

She grabbed one of the latter out of her dresser, and put it on. Then she went into the bathroom to get rid of her make-up. Coming back in a couple minutes later, she said, laughing, "Thanks. I feel a lot better. That was a great idea. Who said girls with big boobies can't have good ideas?"

Karyn laughed too, while throwing a pillow at her, "That's not fair. You know how long I've had these."

"Any ideas about the other wish?"

"Maybe. Can you put some guys clothes on, and wish that you matched those, now?"

"Worth a try." Grabbing the stone, she said, "I wish I had a guy's boxers, shorts, and shirt in front of me."

They appeared, and she anxiously put them on. "I wish that my gender would match the clothes I'm wearing."

But nothing happened. "Hmm," Joan said, "Let me try again. I wish that nobody would find it odd for me to be wearing what I'm wearing."

And still nothing happened. "Maybe you could wish that what Nicole meant was that you'd always match what you're wearing," suggested Karyn.

Finally, there was a flash...
