“Oh hey Jon-boy. Looking good!” Karyn remarked as she checked Jon out. For some reason, Jon blushed. He wasn’t used to getting these sorts of compliments, especially from girls. “It must be the new clothes.” Jon thought and he made a mental note to actually thank his mom when he got home.
“Thanks.” Jon replied. “I didn’t see you this morning.” He told her. Karyn nodded.
“Oh yeah, sorry about that.” She replied. “I was up all night playing on my new game and I overslept.”
Jon was a bit taken back by that. Karyn playing video games? Sure, she often played with him when she came over but as far as Jon knew, Karyn didn’t play games much by herself.
“Really?” Jon asked.
“Oh yeah, I was kind of bored last night watching TV. I saw an advert for the game and I decided to go out and by the game and a console.”
“That’s cool.” Jon replied. “Mom took me out shopping and brought me some new clothes.”
“So I’ve noticed.” Karyn replied giving Jon another appreciative look over. Jon felt a little uncomfortable so he coughed and tried to change the subject.
“So um, have you seen Biff?” Jon asked. Karyn shook her head.
“Nope, but I heard that he freaked out and left the school so you might not see him again today.” Karyn replied. She looked at Jon, intrigued, before asking. “What do you want with Biff anyway? You hate him.”
“Yeah…I do.” Jon said. He paused, like everyone else, Karyn didn’t seem to think that anything was wrong and although she was his best friend, Jon didn’t think that he could tell her about what he thought was going on. “It’s nothing.” Jon said. “I’ll talk to you at lunch?”
Karyn nodded and the two headed off towards there next classes. Jon didn’t notice Karyn staring at his butt as she watched him walk away with a huge smile across her face.
