Jon took a deep breath. "Please go away, Nicole," he said, softly. "Just leave me alone. Haven't you done enough to me today?"
"I just want to make sure you're all right," she responded.
"Why? It's not like we were friends before. We barely know each other."
"Maybe I want to get to know you better," she said.
Jon's expression turned a bit sour. "Get out. Get out right now," he said.
"You don't mean that."
Jon turned on her, arms flailing ineffectively as he tried to push Nicole to leave. Apparently, in the new world, Jon was about as good a fighter as a trout out of water.
Finally, he gave up, as it had no effect, and the tears he'd been holding back flowed freely. "Just go away..." Jon said.
"I'll wait outside," Nicole said, finally.
