You heard a familiar voice behind you.
"Jason?"
You turned around to see your friend Chloe. She had been one of your best friends since childhood, even graduating high school with you, and was now working at a juice bar.
"Chloe! Hi!"
She went up and hugged you. Your relationship with her was purely platonic, but she loved to give hugs to anyone she felt was deserving of it. You could only imagine what her boyfriend experienced, because the hugs she gave to you were nothing short of affectionate. You shrugged and hugged back.
"How've you been? Haven't seen you in a while."
"Well, I'm still waiting on the response from that IT course."
"Hey, listen, my shift at work ended like ten minutes ago. You wanna hang out?"
"Yeah, that'd be great."
Of course, Chloe had no idea what she was in for. You decided then and there that she would be a good candidate for modification with the katana. It might seem, to anyone else, like you were plotting to commit cruelty to one of your best friends, but since the sword was capable of altering reality, no one else would really care. As such, you pressed the red button, freezing time. Looking Chloe up and down, you wondered what to do with her...
