Jon sighed. Zoe was right, really -- he'd decided to make use of this absolute power, but all he did with it was something stupid, making his sister's boobs get bigger. He should apologize to her, he decided, and then come clean about the rock. The two of them had been enemies far too long, and now that they were growing up, it was time to change that. Besides, Zoe was into the occult and all that kind of stuff. She might have some good ideas, or even know more about the rock.
Jon slipped the rock into a pocket and started to make his way to Zoe's room. But, upon opening the door from his room out into the hall, he saw Zoe right there, arm raised as if she'd been just about to knock.
"Uh, hi," she said, lowering her arm. "Look, I just wanted to say I'm sorry for snapping at you. I think I was more startled than anything else, and maybe a little jealous, too. I'm the one who makes potions. I'm the one with the pentagram on the floor of her room. And you're the one who ends up with an actual magic power? Even as limited as it is, it's still pretty cool. So -- if you want to experiment on me, be my guest."
Given Zoe's apology, the thought crossed Jon's mind that now he wouldn't have to reveal the existence of the rock in order to make nice with his sister.
