"Um...." I said. "The stone certainly took a rather liberal interpretation of that wish, didn't it?"
Karyn grunted in response. Probably because grunting was about the extent of her vocal abilities now. For standing in front of me, where Karyn had been before, amidst the ruins of her clothing, stood a very large, blond, long-haired, uddered Yak. A yak that was now looking at me with murderous intent. Hastily I grabbed the stone, and said "I wish Karyn could speak."
"Jon..." I was unfamiliar with the facial expressions of yaks, but I was fairly certain that she was glaring at me. "This is not what was supposed to happen..."
"Well," I said "I guess it did remodel the parts of you that didn't fit... I suppose you could argue that the human body didn't fit the udder..."
I approached her cautiously and patted her side.
"...and it even managed to keep you with long blond hair. Sort of."
She flicked an ear in annoyance, and turned to face me. "But I'm positive we included 'socially acceptable' as part of the wording. Are you telling me that this is socially acceptable?!?"
"Well, aparently the stone considers it to be more acceptable than a bearded, uddered human..."
"STILL. Instead of an uddered girl with a beard, I'm now a talking yak. Wonderful."
