As Karyn and Jen arrived at the school, Sarah was at her locker, putting in her books and such. From behind her were her friends. Well, they were her friends before the wish to make her a tomboy was granted.
"Have any of you seen Sarah?" asked Meagan.
"No," Ashley answered.
"Hey, isn't that her over there?" Nicole pointed towards someone that looked like Sarah at Sarah's locker.
"I don't think so. Hey, why's she going through Sarah's locker?"
All three girls walked over to her.
"Hey, what are you doing with Sarah's locker?"
Sarah turned around. The girls were in shock. It was Sarah. She had Sarah's face, but the rest of her body was so different that it wasn't any surprise that they didn't intially recognize her.
"Sarah? Is that you? What happened to you?" asked Meagan.
"I'm sorry, do I know you?" asked Sarah. The stone, in its current messed up state, must have changed Sarah's memories, as well as her body and personality. These three girls were unknown Sarah. Oh, maybe she had seen them in the hallways or the lunch room some time, but she definitely wasn't friends with them, close or otherwise.
"What's wrong with you? You are Sarah McMillan, aren't you?"
"Yeah, so what of it?"
"Well, you're not acting like yourself. You don't even look like yourself."
"Okay, girls, I don't have time for all this. I need to get to class." Sarah closed her locker and started to walk away, but Meagan (who used to be Sarah's closest friend) grabbed her arm. "Now just hold on, there."
Sarah looked down at her arm, then back up at Meagan. "You better let me go, or else you'll wind up having a broken nose."
Meagan let go of her arm, looking a bit stunned, and Sarah made her way to her first period class.
The other girls looked at Meagan. "What was that all about? What's happened to her?" Ashley asked.
"I don't know, but we're gonna find out."
