As her vision came back Lauren felt as if something was off. She felt a sense of grogginess. Pushing herself up she looked down at her hands as her heart skipped a beat. They were white and looked older. Slowly looking down at herself she saw she no longer had on her own clothes but now had on black flats, black slacks and a blue blouse over a dark shirt. Even more crazy was that they fit. Freaking out she felt up her body. Feeling larger breasts and a little more weight around her mid section the she had before. “Wh...what is happening” Lauren thought. Blonde hair fell into her view. Grabbing it she realized it was her own. Hearing a noise she turned around and shock hit her.
“What on earth was that?” Rhonda asked herself. Pushing herself up she felt full of energy, something she hadn’t felt in years. Popping up dark brown hair fell in her face. “What the...” grabbing her throat at the foreign voice. Looking down she saw she now was wearing a grey v neck and jeans. Examining her arms and hands she saw now her skin was much more tan and youthful then it was before. Her body was now thinner and her breasts were smaller but perkier. Suddenly hearing a scream she turned around seeing her own body.
“What the fuck is going on!” Lauren screamed hearing Rhonda’s voice come on. Rhonda looked around and saw a few students looking at them. Grabbing her old body she dragged it into a near by empty class room.
“What...what did you do!” Lauren asked “I....I’m....YOU! pointing at her old body then back at her new body.
Rhonda took a few deep breaths and tried to process it. Stating “I have no idea Lauren. But you have to calm down.”
Pacing back and forth Lauren said “calm down! I just switched bodies with some random old lady!”
Taken aback Rhonda stated “Old! I’m not that old!”
Annoyed Lauren said “I know I know but going from 18 to your 50s is.” Gesturing towards her new body.
“Ok let’s try to wish our selve back.” Rhonda stated. On the count of there they both wished for them to switch back. Seconds later they stood still and nothing happened.
Worried Lauren said “What I’m I suppose to do! I can’t go to class like this. And I don’t know how to do your job.”
Rhonda said “my job is easy. I work down the street at the state welcome center as a greeter.”
Lauren replied “that’s it. How do you live off that?”
“Mostly off retirement. This job is just to keep me busy during the week. I only have to work today and tomorrow until the weekend” Rhonda stated
Lauren thought “ Lauren this might be the break you’ve looked for, easy job, lots of money and this body isn’t that bad for a white lady.”
Smiling she looked at her old body “ Ok Rhonda, I’ll go into work for you and you go into class today. I have a history test so you’ll have to do that for me.”
Rhonda couldn’t believe what she was hearing. Thinking “this is amazing. A fresh start at a new life. Something different then before. I’m a 18 year old Hispanic girl with my whole life in front of me. She’s crazy to give this up.” Looking back at her old body Rhonda said “Ok Lauren. Let’s keep in touch just in case we find a way to switch back.”
Agreeing Lauren traded numbers with her new phone and said “Just a few things you’ll need to know about me. I have a boyfriend named Jake. My home address is in my phone just look it up and class schedule is in there too.”
Rhonda replied “Ok! And same for me when it comes to addresses. I also have a few kids, but they are older now and I have a boyfriend who I’m living with and he has a son. Please be nice to them.”
“As long as you’re nice to Jake.” Lauren smiled
Rhonda smiled “Deal!”
As the two said their goodbyes Rhonda said “Oh and Lauren!”
Turning around Lauren looked. “Ya?”
Rhonda replied “You’re nickname is Tippy”
