"What the?" Mr. Fisk exclaimed, seeming to be genuinely surprised. Nicole had heard a small crackling shock as the medallion touched him. He tried to pull away, but she gripped his hand as tightly as she could, and managed to keep the contact for several seconds before he managed to break free. "What have you done?! After everything that's happened, you think this thing is a toy?" He seemed angry now, and nervous. "Dammit, I can feel it affecting me! Why would you do this?"
Nicole just shrugged, "I felt like it... Besides, it's clear you weren't going to be man enough to give me what I want, that was obvious even if this thing doesn't work!" She held up her wrist, where the Bracelet of Telepathy was now visible.
Mr. Fisk realized she must have grabbed it under her cape over at the table. "You fool! That thing's notorious for strange interactions! It doesn't work because I'm protected from mind-reading, but I don't have anything that can ward against the Medallion of Zulo's powers! Maybe if I'm quick enough I can mix a potion to prevent mental changes." He strode over to a nearby cabinet, nearly stumbling as his shoes wobbled loosely, and his pant legs dragged underfoot. He was clearly already two or three inches shorter, and his suit jacket looked a little baggy.
