Bobbi hurried over to the table and sat down quickly, pulling me along with. She whispered in my ear "maybe if we're sitting, they won't notice anything."
"Won't notice what?" Lisa asked.
I thought quick and said "That's the secret. We can't tell you." It was the truth.
Bobbi's turn was next. She rolled the dice, and got a 6. Her marker, which I noticed was now a bit bigger than everyone else's, moved two spaces and stopped at a crossroads just like Tina's had. A quick glance showed me that Tina, Bobbi and Jen had crossroads after two spaces, and that Amy, myself, and Lisa had one after four spaces. It was apparently determined by order, evens and odds.
Bobbi had to choose between a path that brought her closer to me or closer to Lisa. She chose to go closer to me, and the figure moved another four spaces.
The dome said "Make new friends: You've been playing it safe. Move closer to someone you don't know so well."
Then her figure started to walk backwards, back to the crossroads, and walked up the other way, closer to Lisa. The two girls looked at each other, and something seemed to click. Nothing visible happened, but whereas they were still in the "hi, nice to meet you" phase before the game, it now came off as though they were quite comfortable with each other.
Bobbi giggled as she handed the die over to Lisa.
